If you enjoy being seen as a human being, this is NOT the office for you. If you think that's harsh, please read my story below.

I purchased my lenses and frames from this office. The total came to over $1600, which was $800 out of pocket after insurance kicked in. This isn't the problem. I'm almost legally blind so glasses are usually quite pricey for me. The problem came when my nosepiece popped out of the frames. I had planned to super glue it, until their office said they would use an adhesive and fix it for me. I went in, they took my glasses, and left me to wait in the lobby for 20-30 min. When they came back out, they informed me they had broken my plastic frames while attempting to fix the nosepiece. The good news (they said) was that they'd taped them for me, but cautioned not to take the tape off or the lenses would fall out. They did NOT apologize or admit any wrongdoing. The said I would need to buy a new pair.

Over the next 10 days, I would have 4 conversations with them. The manager repeatedly said I had brought them in broken and that it wasn't their fault. They were blaming me! She offered to let me speak to the doctor about this, then denied me every opportunity to do so, saying "the doctor doesn't make these type of phone calls." I would later find out the manager there is his wife. During our last conversation, she said the doctor has no intention of helping me and that I should just pay to replace them or stop calling.

Now I'm forced to buy new glasses whether I like it or not. I have constant headaches from my glasses sitting crooked. The tape they used is like sandpaper and is irritating the skin on my face. I will need a new exam, new lenses, and new frames which will all total to hundreds of dollars. They said this is not their problem.
Their employee broke them while I sat blind in their lobby, yet this is not their problem.

I currently have an open complaint again them with the FTC and the BBB. Their office runs on immoral practices that will do anything to save them a penny. Please do yourself a favor and go to literally any other eye care facility around.

Efficient courteous staff with a knowledgeable friendly provider, has really invested in the most up to date best quality equipment in order to give the best service to his patients. As a medical provider (MD) myself I am particular about the care that I receive and Dr Phinney has exceded my expectations.
