He removed my uterus and I had several complications. We back to him and he said he had never seen a case like mine and didn't know what to do. After surgery he told my husband and I congratulations?!? God don't like ugly and he will have his day. No compassion at all. Didn't even wash his face one morning.

Dr. Austin was ok. Not terribly talkative- didn't really try to get to know me or ask about me- just down to business. No kids allowed in the office (sign on the door says no kids under age 12) which seems a bit ironic for an OB's office not to be child-friendly.

I have to admit that I had no insurance at the time and that Dr. Austin did not see me until I was in active labor. That was my fault. I was experiencing some pre enclampsia symptoms, not serious ones, so since River Region is so fond of hooking every pregnant woman up to every machine they can find they did not want to let me get up to use the toilet to do the "bowel cleaning out" that often happens in labor. The LD nurses wanted me to use a bedpan. Imagine trying to use a bedpan when you are 9 months pregnant and in pain. Later during pushing I pushed out a BM which is normal whether you use a bedpan, the toilet, or even have an enema. Dr. Austin had the audacity to give me a disgusted look and say dryly to the nurses standing around "ugh, someone needs to clean this up." Well didn't they tell you about this in medical school you dope? Don't you know that women are pushing with the same muscles they poop with? If you are that bothered Dr. Austin, go serve up grub in the cafeteria!!
