Dr.Stein saved our son's life as a 3day infant...Sean was very tiny...too tiny to do the surgery required to correct the major birth defects he was born with. Our NICU Dr. knew of Dr. Stein and asked him if he would try to do the surgery even though Sean was so tiny. We were so thrilled he saiid yes. Dr. Stein can be a bit arrogant, BUT he knows what to do and how to do it. If he is at a loss, he will seek help or ideas from his collegues. He will add us to the schedule to be seen if a feeding tube has come out or we have a concern. The best general surgeon at CHLA by far.
