Dr. Plescia has been my doctor for around 15 years. He is such a wonderful man and doctor. He listens to you and respects that you know your own body. I have a rather complicated disease that multiple specialist missed, but he finally diagnosed. I am so much better because of his care. I also like his staff, although others haven't rated them well. I make it a point to thank them and be friendly, and I have found I get the same respect in return. They have a very busy practice and the staff are always moving, there are no slackers, so I can understand how others might get frustrated, but a understanding and compassion has gone a long way for me and my relationship with them. Plus, Dr. Plescia and multiple other doctors in the practice have won a slow of awards like Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine. So, I'm sure demand is high to get in and see such highly regarded doctor(s) . If I have to wait I assume that something important is going on. In regards to having to wait for test results and prescription refills I know test results can take some time, but they don't mind if you follow up if you haven't heard anything. In regards to prescriptions, I've found the quickest way was through the practices online system. The only complaints I have is their technology, which I believe is being addressed, and how they have recorded missed appointments in the past. They had me down as missing appointments that I would swear I didn't miss and I always call if I'm going to miss or be late (semantics I suppose they say one thing and I recall another) . However, it's possible I did, because I do forget things as a result of my disease. I am a particular person so I hope this detailed rating helps others. I rated Dr. Plescia and his staff compared to other doctors I've experienced and I'm middle aged so have seen my share of doctors. I hope this helps others and Dr. Plescia and staff as they have done so much for me.

Dr. Plescia is a great doctor. He listens and explains things well. He doesn't get upset if you do your own research and have questions for him. I started seeing him several years ago and now my whole family goes to him. My only issues are with his staff. It can be very hard to get an appointment, some of the staff are difficult to understand, and if you need to get a hold of him, you must go through his nurse, which can result in multiple days of phone tag.

Outdtanding. Dr. Plescia makes you feel as though you are important. He gives you all of his attention when with him. I strongly recommend him.

My husband and both like him. BEST bedside manner ever. He oozes compassion. My favorite thing is that he really respects MY opinion on what I need and want. I tend to like more natural solutions and all my other docs think this is ridiculous and happily tell me so. I would never switch even though the office can be a zoo. But it's hit or miss. I just went there and was seen immediatly.

Dr. Plescia is fantastic. He's through, he talks to you, he listens to you & is honest and fair. Our whole family goes to the practice there and we would recommend him to anyone. The ONLY downside is that he does run late on his appointments, on occasion, but he spends time with his patients as they need it, not according to a stop watch.

It was our first well check visit for my 15 month old. He has a history of vaccine reactions. My son was sick at the time of the visit. It took 2 months to scd appt. We could not cancel. We delay vax, the doctor agreed that was ok, but he forced us to get a vaccine that day, even though my son was sick. It resulted in a 2 month long vaccine reaction. Went to the same practice once a week for 5 weeks. None of the doctors believed it was a reaction.They did not hear my motherly instinct. The reaction ended with a trip to the ER for breathing difficulties where he was put on steroids. The practice also gave me 2 different lot#'s for the shot. A big no no. Eventually they waived the copays.

Dr. Plescia has been my physician for 14 years. He has a great personality (bed side manner). He respects the fact that I know my own body and always spends the time to answer all my questions. He is an excellent listener and is very knowledgable of current research. If he doesn't know the answer, he'll admit it and direct me to a specialist. My only complaint is that it is difficult to reach Dr. Plecia--you have to make an appointment to actual see him if you have questions.

Dr. Plescia has been my physician for 10 years. When he enters the room I have his full attention. Great eye contact and bedside manner. He respects the fact that I know my own body -- has never said "oh, it's all in your head, or maybe it's allergies." If he doesn't know the answer, he'll admit it and direct me to a specialist. The only complaint I have is regarding his staff. They make it impossible to reach him and many times he doesn't receive the messages. Reaching a nurse is just as impossible and sometimes there are urgent situations. Doesn't seem to matter. Perscription renewals can take up to a week and test results up to 2 weeks. Sometimes I have to call to remind them. It's very frustrating.

Dr. Plescia is a good solid doctor. Although for every problem you have to see him seperately. Suppose that is the way the medical practice is having to go...
