I worked with Dr Krulee for years for my son and I felt as though it was a wonderful experience. We had to stop going because of a change in insurance and there was one visit that we could not log onto the portal
Because of some weird error with the browser. We were never late any other time and never missed any other appointment. After our insurance switched back to one he would take I called to get back in and his office staff (female who I believe is his wife) called and was absolutely nasty saying Dr Krulee would not take any one who missed appointments in the past. I do not recommend working with this office. I think Dr Krulee is amazing but his office staff is SO UNPROFESSIONAL! find someone else!

VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MEDICAL DOCTOR!!! Office DOES NOT return phone calls. Dr. Krulee is rude and in a rush to get rid of you. I tried to get a hold of the office for days with no response, had a telehealth appt with Dr. Krulee and tried to explain my issue to him, he did not want to hear me out and overtalked me! He got very defensive and rude with me! What kind of therapy professional doesn't let you speak and hear you out! Dr. Krulee!! I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEW BEFORE SEEING HIM!! BEWARE IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE HIM!

I went to Dr. Krulee for a while. He is very unsafe. I was beyond over medicated. It took me a while to get back to myself with a qualified psychiatrist. He doesn’t know psychiatry at all. Very cocky too.

My one experience between 6:49pm -9:30pm the night before my scheduled (now canceled) appointment felt more like I was communicating with a manipulative narcissistic ex-boyfriend than psychiatric professionals. All I can do is post my story below in hopes that no one else will have to go through the same thing.

A week after my appointment was set (when my insurance provider & number was also given over the phone) I received an email and text (both after office hours) the night before the morning of my appointment that demanded a payment be made or the appointment would be canceled (Image 1 attached). I have a high deductible with a HASA debit card so just proceeded to log on to my patient portal account and viewed the new financial form. Started to feel uneasy about the communication, and with major concern, decided to cancel and rescind their access to my information (Image 2 & 3 attached).

Dr. Krulee left me a voicemail not long after my text response, around 7pm, which seemed kind as he offered to work with me. I called back less than an hour later and used the option that allowed Dr. Krulee to be paged after hours (no assertion of importance level accept “if true emergency call 911”), the recorded office message also literally indicated that if he did not return your call in 60 mins to call back so I left a message and called back 60 minutes later when I did not hear from him. At that point, given his kind message, I decided to just upload my HSA debit card and send an appointment request for another date. After trying to log in again it became clear that my account had already been deactivated?!?!

After realizing my account was deactivated, I called back a 3rd time to leave a message as one was not left during the second call; I did not expect anyone to answer. Dr. Krulee did answer with a raised abusive tone. He tried to belittle me by referencing my response to the financial notification as hostile (please read image attached and be the judge) and tried to also make me feel obsessed or like I was harassing him in some way by referencing the (3) calls being after office hours, then literally threatened that the next step would be police?!?! Which by the way seems to be a running theme when looking at other reviews. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, he digs deeper in the same raised abusive tone with "what makes you think you would still have an appointment, I don't have time to see you tomorrow." Although keeping the same appointment was never my intent? He then hung up; I stayed quiet throughout the entire conversation.

Ultimately, Dr. Krulee felt the need to assert dominance by trying to make me feel ashamed and that everything was my fault. He could have simply dismissed me as client during this call even with frustration? But he had to attack me mentally first, so that I felt disempowered. As a reminder all of this was under the premise that I am a vulnerable potential patient seeking his psychiatric service.

This attempt at manipulation was not only unethical but unjust in my view and although I am rescinding my information, they still have some of it on hand which makes me extremely uncomfortable, especially after what I just experienced. There is a lot wrong with what happened, and I have a genuine concern for those of us seeking mental health services. Please proceed with caution if at all.

I can’t even begin to describe the horrific experience I had with Dr Krulee and his “staff”. First of all they were MUCH more concerned with the $400 payment they needed and of course that went through without a hitch, but that’s where the ease left the building. After the initial 15 minute meeting over the internet with each of my two children I made sure that if the requested medication chart they requested for some reason didn’t get to them (I requested the materials be faxed to the number they gave me SEVERAL times and was told they ALL went through, but ultimately I can’t control how quickly the other office is in getting the charts over....I can only ask them again and I did a total of SIX TIMES) that he would at least maintain my sons medications because he is a 10 year old boy who cannot go cold turkey off his meds) and Dr Krulee stated he would NEVER leave us hanging. When the time came to refill my sons meds I called Dr Krulee and left a message asking them if they received the information I had my sons old Dr to send and I received a phone call back on my voicemail of a rude, condescending, angry woman who revealed herself to be the Dr’s wife telling me that I never sent the requested records, that I “attacked them” (which was news to me....I am a religion teacher and a stay at home Mom who does not lose my temper very often and I have worked in customer service for years and I know how to treat people, even those who actually come at me) and that my son was NOT their patient because I didn’t do what I was “told to do”. I was upset so I contacted them yet again at which point I was reassured they would never let my son have to go without his meds and that they would check again to see if they got his records but that no matter what we would be ok. I contacted my sons PCP who offered to call over to them and see what was going on....well they lied to them and told them they had an appointment with my son later that day but that they would make sure my son got his meds....LIES! I was then sent a nasty email stating that this was my fault, that I was irresponsible, and NOT to contact them unless the material was sent to them! How am I supposed to know if it was sent? I was told they received it (they had 6 fax transmissions stating they ALL went through). Needless to say I remember why things got to this point. At first I was going to have both. my kids seen by the Dr but when I was told I had to have my son evaluated by myself, my husband, and several of his teachers and that it would cost $300 plus (even though my husband and I would be doing all the work) to evaluate I told them we would only be moving forward with my one son because of the cost (my other son didn’t really like Dr Krulee anyway but of course I would never have told them that....that’s just mean) and ever since they were notified of the loss of business na d money it was like a switch! They blocked my number, blocked my access to the app (the ONLY way the Dr will communicate with patience), and didn’t return the calls I was able to make before they blocked me). I even left a voicemail crying and explaining that I tried really hard to get the information to them and that I take full responsibility for anything they think I did wrong, that none of that mattered, just the well being of my son. I told them we recently lost my Mom to cancer, my God Mother to MS, and two close Uncles as well and that especially with the great loss my son has been through going cold turkey off his meds would be REALLY bad. I pleaded with them and told them I would even physically pick up the requested information and I would hand deliver them to the Dr....NOTHING! They don’t care about their patience, only the amount of money they will bring in. The wife is a hot headed, unprofessional, disrespectful person (who actually practices therapy specializing in ANGER MANAGEMENT and ANXIETY) who has ZERO business working with human beings, especially children, with mental health issues. They abandon their patience in their time of need and they have absolutely NO problem doing it! I am beyond disgusted and now I am forced to start from square one finding my son a new Dr (which I have had such a hard time doing this far) and I am out over $400 for what? Dr Krulee made my life more stressful, anxious, and depressing than I went into this with! NEVER AGAIN! I will be contacting the BBB and I already submitted a formal complaint with my insurance company that recommended him to me in the first place. PLEASE read the reviews before you even consider Dr Krulee as your child’s Dr. I sure wish I did!

Sorry .. but he does not have good judgement in his speciality. Maybe he should have been a gynecologist. Some of his office staff are the worst. He can be late constantly but you don't be late ever. I was a very low maintenance patient and put up with a lot of nonsense with his practice. After several years I could not deal with his behavior and that of his staff. I absolutely DO NOT recommend him. He takes almost all insurance and his practice is just a revolving door of as many patients as he can roll in and out. You get what you pay for. My suggestion is if you can afford private pay try that route. Don't leave yourself exposed to a practice such as this.

I have been seeing Dr. Krulee for about 20 years. My son has been seeing him for 2 years. I’ve never had a negative experience with the doctor or any of his staff. A few times there was a mix up over my appointment and they failed to call me to reschedule and I arrived to a closed office. But that’s it in 20 years. I’m surprised at the negative comments about Julia. She has been nothing but professional and extremely pleasant towards me. I once missed an appointment because I got lost trying to find their new office. Julia was completely understanding and didn’t charge me. I love Dr. Krulee. He is very knowledgeable and I like his disposition.

Absolutely a disgrace in the name of healthcare. Something as important as mental health should not be left in the hands of untrained and illequiped staff. While Dr. Krulee himself is not a problem, his staff is horrendous. Whether it’s the office manager Julia (his wife, which is obvious because she would have been fired by now by anyone other than her own husband)who screams at you and tried to make it feel like it’s your fault her office didn’t call you back, or the brilliant front desk workers who obviously don’t understand insurance, you’re sure to be angry and most likely in a worse mental state than before! I have been enduring these practices for over 5 years and I have reached my limit. I am sorry to leave doctor Krulee, but I am overjoyed to not be paying into the abusive staff’s paycheck. If you are going to work for a doctor’s office that deals with mental health, you should have some type of understanding of how to talk to people and treat people in general. I implore any who are reading this to NOT to go there. You deserve better than this.

I just was told to find another Dr by him. In all the years going to Dr Krulee, his staff was not only weird but unprofessional. Julia was downright rude and once barged into my medication management with the dr to give her take on why I had to come in even though I had a medical issue that was serious at the time. There were a few other instances where she gave out unsolicited advice to me over health issues and talked down to me over the phone with the usual threat of if I cancel last minute I get charged. I also never got any answer to a specific side effect of one of my medications from the dr. So to me he isn't as informed as he should be with some of the side effects of the meds he treats patients with. Also he is not affiliated with any hospital should anyone need to be hospitalized. Thus he can't see any of his patients if they are in a psychiatric unit for help. The main issue for him and Julia are be there and pay your account or you do not get your meds. This is very unprofessional considering the type of Dr he is and what he is there for; the medical management of his patients. I can't go without my medications and was compliant with them and my appointments. I have other various Drs that are understanding of my medical issues and never treated me like they did there. The final insults were for every operation I had they wanted to know everything from what it was, when it started up, where it's being done, when, by what surgeon, how long for recovery, and let them speak to the surgeon themselves. Like I was faking it. It just made me feel the dr patient trust was gone. He was fed up with my medical problems. He told me to get another Dr. He has had staff that is no longer there, no therapists, different clerks, even the dogs there are running all over the place. I see hardly any patients and I've sat there a few times for over an hour and a half. He wanted to gave me half of my medications till I find another Dr. How can I find a new Dr in such short notice? To those who like him that's fine for you but done knock those of us who for years put our trust in a Dr that let us down and were treated for only 15 minutes, then it's NEXT ! We are worthy to be treated like any patient with time, respect, courtesy and politeness along with professionalism. I'd say go get another Dr because you deserve to be monitored properly, made to feel comfortable, and have a Dr that can see you should you have to be hospitalized. He can't do all that. Ask yourselves this, with all you are dealing with do you need to make excuses for a Dr who sees you for 15 minutes, has a rude staff, then blames you when something goes awry ?

They actually should get ZERO Stars. ZERO Stars!!! They are by far the worst doctor's office and doctor I have ever encountered. They do NOT care about the well-being of their patients. They gave my boyfriend anxiety medication knowing full well he drinks alcohol. Then when I told them I'm concerned about him because he is not mentally stable since they gave him this medication they told me to come to the office because my boyfriend had a appointment that day. I went there and my boyfriend was not happy. He called me names I asked them if they can put him in another room until we seen the doctor. Instead they throw us both out. When I got home the police came to my house because the office manager, Julia called them. I had to explain and show them text messages indicating my boyfriend may harm himself. Needless to say we cannot find my boyfriend. We have no clue if he is safe. I'm a nervous wreck. If anything happens to him I will make sure they are closed down and they go to prison. For the life of me, I cannot phantom how a doctor who specializes in mental disorders and anxiety does not care about his patients. How he is not concerned my boyfriend may harm himself. Please I'm asking you to NEVER become a patient here. This doctor deserves to lose his license. Also, the office manager Julia, is the doctors wife. She is a cold hearted, horrible human being just like her husband.
