Dr. Underwood may be competent in her specialty, but her communication skills were lacking, and her understanding of the patient's need were poor -- this might have more to do with the hospital's capabilities to share information among physicians, but I would expect a doctor in that hospital to be sensitive to those capabilities and what she may or may not assume about a patient's medical situation.

Dr. Underwood is a fabulous anesthesiologist. She is extremely competent, empathetic towards patients, and has a take-charge attitude. I like that in my anesthesiologist.
