This person is the WORST person I’ve ever seen in the health field! That includes ALL of my health care encounters, and I’m 65 years old. Zero concern, doesn’t listen, interrupts, and prescribes a different medication every month. I have severe anxiety, and he told me that he would not prescribe any meds to help, because they cause dementia, but recommended ECT! My father had ECT, and it fried his brain. He always asks “What questions can I help you with today”, so I asked how can I better deal with this anxiety. Just take the meds was his response and finished the 3 minute visit telling me to reschedule an appointment if I needed anything. I finally found a competent doctor that helped me more in my first visit than this supposed doctor did in 3 years. I HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT see this person. I’m sorry that I ever went to him.

He has no empathy or compassion. He lies. He makes me wantvto commit suicide. If he is how mental health is handled, why live?

He wasn't helpful at all. He didn't seem to care about me or my concerns.

I have been seeing Dr Snavely for 8 yrs. I like him a lot. He prescribes medication based on the research. He doesn't really express emotion, but I've gotten him to laugh. He has a matter-of-fact presentation. He also works in collaboration with me, but will be more direct if needed. I recommend him.

This idiot is a pig, when your talking he sits and stares at you emotionless to the point you feel uncomfortable. He insists you take what ever HE thinks you need, and if your not sure, he gets mad and gets even by writing fake vindictive notes that damage and mischaracterize you. Stay away he is an egotistical arrogant know it all and you are a SICK WEAK MINDED PATHETIC PATIENT. Do not recommend this jerk off and his feminine looking bow tie, patten leather shoes and corduroy pants.

I only had one session with him and I didn’t even stay the entire time. It was a horrible experience, he actually made me feel worse. At one point I was crying and he just looked at me with a blank stare like he was annoyed with me. I left feeling even more sad and hopeless. He lacked compassion, seemed arrogant and I felt I wasn’t worthy of his time. I cannot believe he is in this field and he was highly recommended to me, I was honestly baffled as to why. This was awhile back, but I’m sure this is still fairly accurate. I stumbled across his picture and was reminded of how awful he made me feel.

Everything is great with him! I'm glad to have a doctor who listens to my concerns. Only thing I don't understand is why he can prescribe some meds but not others.

Dr Snavely is good at listening and giving advice. In opinion he would make a better counselor only than doctor. He is very limited in what medications he will try or give. He seems to be angry if you ask questions on medications. He seems to want his patients to only use his counselors and treatment programs in his group.
