My dad just underwent emergency open heart surgery after an early morning heart attack. Dr. Lynn performed the operation which necessitated a double bypass. Dr. Lynn saved my dad's life. Period. To all of the whiners, underachievers, and malcontents who believe you must be coddled by your surgeon you really need to calibrate your attitude. I will agree that Dr. Lynn comes off as a bit aloof and, obviously, not very comfortable in face to face situations. He's also quite direct and doesn't have a habit of suger-coating what he says. He just says it. So what? He's a respected, highly trained, highly capable cardiothoracic surgeon. He's there to save your backside, not kiss it. I also need to compliment the simply awesome group of Nurses in the Cardiac ICU. Those people are incredible. Angels to be honest. People, if you're hoping and praying that there is Surgeon out there that will give you or a loved one a real fighting chance, Dr. Lynn is the real deal. Just don't expect to have your head patted or ego massaged. He's there to save you life and is obviously quite capable. And THAT is all that matters.

My 87 year old father had a heart attack and Dr Lynn saved his life. Dr Lynn treated our father like a young man and kept us informed after the procedure. It is very apparent Dr Lynn is hyper focused and committed and we’re extremely thankful he was at Bethesda East when we needed him!!!

Dr. Lynn saved my father's life! He went above and beyond and his staff was wonderful to my family. I would highly recommend him.
