Horrible. Found out I was in social work, and told me the only way I can afford to fix my teeth is to "marry rich". Incredibly offensive, I left crying. I requested he send my x-rays (because shockingly I CAN afford dental care, thank you very much), and his office said they sent it but it was never received. I called back ~2 months later to request it again, and again, never received it. I spent $400 to be insulted by a sarcastic, unprofessional dick.

Dr. Maloney provided exceptional care, going the extra mile to ensure the check up was thorough, but also making excellent suggestions about ways I could improve my smile and keep my gums healthy. I had a filling done, and it was virtually painless. I can't even see where the filling was done, as he used the white filling material! He has a wonderful labradoodle therapy dog who makes me smile - he really is fun to be with, and sure eases any anxiety! His staff include two former dentists who are now his assistant and hygienist, so you're getting really the very best service from everyone! I'd recommend Dr. Maloney to anyone!

I have been seeing Dr Maloney for about 8 years after getting a cleaning as a gift,which is what I asked for! I find the ladies in his office great, very professional and friendly, they never miss calling me when time for me or my childrens cleanings, even if I skip one, they are on it. Dr Maloney, I enjoy is demeanor, but can see how some people might not. He is a perfectionist, and I like that, I had to have quite a few things done, and one tooth, well he wasn't sure I was going to keep it, but he was able to fill it, it looks and feels great and I believe he took the extra time to make sure I kept it! My kids don't care for him, he is a little pompous, but for me I enjoy his sense of humor. Again I will say, he does great work, goes out of way to make sure it is perfect. Will continue seeing him for my dental needs!

Phone reception could use some improvement; I was using a Groupon & almost was scared off by the conversation with the receptionist who left me feeling that neither me nor my Groupon were welcome. Thankfully, things got much better at the actual appt. The receptionist was in a much better mood, friendly & efficient. It had been 13 years since my last appt; I was very apprehensive. My hygienist (the person who does the cleaning?) set me at ease. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. She was not at all judgmental, explained everything before she did it and was very careful/ gentle. She emphasized the importance of flossing w/o lecturing or talking down to me. The Dr. mentioned to his asst. that I had 'the most calcified pulp cavities' he'd ever seen. I wish he'd explained that. He was friendly and tried to put me at ease with a few jokes. Received an itemized treatment plan, w/ payment options at the end of the appt. I no longer dread the dentist; overall a good experience.

I will never, ever go back to Stephen Maloney's office. He came out over the top rude and sarcastic. After a preliminary, and very rushed initial exam, he basically insinuated that I was too poor to pay for what needed to be done. He actually told me that my best option was to "marry rich", and that getting dental insurance as a single woman would be useless. He insinuated, based on my field of social work, that there's no way I would be able to pay for his services otherwise. When asked if he took payment plans, he all but said he thought I would never pay him and refused. His incredibly unprofessional, demeaning, and sexist attitude was nauseating. I left his office crying. His staff assured me that my treatment plan would be mailed to me, but after two months of not having received it, I called to inquire about its status and his staff had "forgotten". Also, they charge a ridiculous fee for a copy of your x-ray, despite the fact that a 25-minute initial exam with him costs hundreds.

He was very knowledgable and helpful. Spent time explaining procedure. I feel as though he does quality work.( PS. If you miss an appointment without notifying the office, you deserve to be charged!)

Doctor was very rude. He didn't seem to care at all about my concerns or complaints. Did not even really talk to me at all while drilling. Pretty much pretended like I wasn't even there. Never once ask if I was doing ok and was very rough working on me. I was in a great deal of pain after the appointment and when I called about it, they really didn't care and I was told to just take over the counter medication.I was told I really shouldn't be feeling a lot of pain even when I told her I was. I spent the night in a lot of pain.

This doctor believes his time is worth more than mine. charged me 300.00 for a missed appointment ( had an emergency) a 100 for each half hour. However I waited his waiting room for an hour and got nothing, but missing my valuable work hours.

Hygenist is good but rough. Dr. Maloney is an OK dentist but seems to always be annoyed with patients and staff. His assistant is upbeat and tries to compensate for his negative attitude. Very uncomfortable situation created unnecessarily by the dentist.
