After assuaging my fears of going to the dentist, Dr. Kelly calmly checked out my front missing cap and went to work. He inserted a post and skillfully returned my cap to its original place without any problems. I left the office with a much better smile thanks to his skill at his job...it didn't even hurt!! Go, Dr. Kelly, my hero!!

I started seeing Dr. Kelly after moving to the area. He comes across as intelligent and a very smooth talker. During the first appointment, he did an assessment and told me I had five cavities and that most of my teeth were going to start falling apart soon. He uses a specialized camera system with high intensity light to show you that you have damage to your teeth. However, this is only a marketing tool – everyone’s teeth will show a small amount of microdamage when placed under a high powered light.
During my second visit, Dr. Kelly said that he needed to bond one of my top front teeth or it would start falling apart. He filed down (thinned it out) the tooth and bonded it. He also said that I needed a bite splint. Since this procedure, I have developed TMJ and have trouble resting my jaw comfortably. I went to two other dentists, including my previous dentist in Sterling Heights, and they both said that he never should have filed down the back of my tooth (thinned out my tooth by grinding it down) and this is what now causes misalignment in my jaw, which causes my TMJ.
The bite splint that he made for my mouth was also made improperly. I had to go back to his office three different times for them to make a new mold. Each time I went back, Dr. Kelly wanted to fill another cavity, even though I was only supposed to be there for them to take a new impression for my bite splint. Once the bite splint finally came in and I went to receive it, it did not fit my mouth at all. His assistant went into the room next to mine and told him that it would not fit my mouth at all. I overheard his response, “we will have to make it fit.” He trimmed it so that it would fit inside my mouth, but did not align the bite of the splint at all. When I went back to my old dentist in Sterling Heights, he spent 45 minutes modifying my bite splint to fit my mouth properly.
Dr. Kelly billed my insurance $600 for filing down (thinning out) one of my front teeth and another $500 for the bite splint, both of which were poor quality. He does his procedures as quickly as possible and the results show. He tries to squeeze every dollar out of patients that he can by billing their insurance for everything possible. Please read other reviews on the internet of Dr. Kelly. There are others out there with a similar experience to what I had – I wish that I had read them before going to see him.

This dentist is clearly out for his own interests. Wants to make as much money from each patient he sees. Recommends products and procedures that are not needed and expensive. Always insists you have conditions and problems that you don't really have. STAY AWAY from this dentist. He is out for profit.

Dr. Kelly is very likable and intelligent however he sees every patient's mouth as an AMT machine and his goal is to make as much money as he can off of every patient BY PERFORMING PAINFUL AND EXPENSIVE PROCEDURES THAT ARE UNNECESSARY. I will never go to him again. He has destroyed my teeth and done extensive work on perfectly good teeth that did not need it. He also made a very bad mistake and refused to fix it and sent me to someone else. The new dentist questioned why the work was done in the first place.
