One of the best Dr's I have ever had, kind compassionate and goes the extra mile for you. Very thankful to her and Theresa who works with her. They both take very good care of you and make you feel cared for.

After meeting with a number of surgeons in 1999, I chose Dr. Ruark for my lumpectomy. She had the best bedside manner & seemed extremely conscientious & caring. She also listened. Many surgeons do not. She also did not rush to judgment. Other doctors pushed for a mastectomy. She offered choices with sound reasoning & compassionate counsel. Nothing felt forced. For many years after my surgery other doctors were surprised at how little scarring I had. When fate had it 13 years later that I needed a mastectomy, I returned to Dr. Ruark. Like many people, I was in shock when I learned I needed a mastectomy & seeing photographs of some of the surgical results online did nothing to ease my concerns. Fortunately, I was blessed to have Dr. Ruark in charge. The results of Dr. Ruark’s work are nothing short of amazing. I thought I would fall apart when the bandages came off, instead I was as pleasantly surprised as one can be under the circumstances. She is truly the Picasso of surgery.

My Mom saw Dr. Ruark to have a lumpectomy for the treatment of breast cancer. She was kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I have also talked to a nurse who previously worked in the OR with Dr. Ruark who raved about her technique. I would recommend Dr. Ruark to any woman.
