Dr. Lowen and his staff are very knowledgeable and takes the time to treat you as if you are the only one that exist. I understand he is not warm and fuzzy at first but I'm not looking for a doctor who wants to kiss my butt and win me over to make a sale I'm looking for a perfectionist and that is what Dr. Lowen is. After 6 consults and much research I booked my appointment with Dr. Lowen. He was the only doctor that spent almost 2 hours on me at my first consultation to find out what my expectations are. He is so smart dedicated. He lived, eat, sleep and breathe his procedures. When I told him who referred my he knew exactly what that person had and it was 2 years ago. His staff and office is normal and not fancy but he spends all his time and dedication on results. I've been to consultations were it felt like all of the doctors's staff were walking models like they had so so much work done. Dr. Lowen office is different, it's more about the patient. Dr. Lowen does excellent work. He is detailed and does a wonderful job. I had a tummy tuck and it turned out well. It's been 2 years and I still like it very much. Dr. Lowen is not a people person and doesn't have a great bedside manner. If you don't care about that he does wonderful work. That to me is the bottom line.

I wanted a breast augmentation. I researched the procedure and many area doctors extensively. I wanted a doctor that was like an engineer. One who was very detail oriented, like a perfectionist, and also had good sense of art, a sculptor. Dr. Lowen, met this criteria. Upon meeting him, I observed that he was like many doctors I have met. Yes,they are arrogant and terse. Instead of me talking and interrupting, I listened to him and realized there was very important information I would have not heard. By the way, his bedside manner gets much better each time you meet with him and you really understand the procedure. My augmentation was absolutely wonderful! My breasts are the size I wanted (no larger), shape is beautiful, and soft. I was up and running around in a couple days, no bruising and no pain. He is GREAT. I love this doctor and his personality. I have sent my daughter and many of my friends to him. All had great results. His work is some of the best in the Bay Area.

I went to Dr. Lowen for new breast implants due to capsular contracture of my original implants (done by a different surgeon). I am extremely happy with the results. My new implants are soft and natural looking, and the recovery was very easy. He is a meticulous surgeon and a "perfectionist," with a great eye for aesthetics. He listened very carefully to what I wanted (size, shape, etc.), and that's exactly what I would up with. I would highly recommend him. (I also found that once you get to know him a little, he's got a wicked sense of humor.) And, of course, his staff was wonderful. I am a very happy patient.

I had Smartlipo-MPX done and am very happy with the result. The whole process was so smooth and quick I sometimes wonder if I really had the procedure done...! I didn't even take any pain medication after the procedure and was already back to work on the following day. Dr. Lowen really listened to my concerns and what exactly I was looking for, and thoroughly explained what kind of result I could expect. The whole experience was very pleasant and I will definitely go back to get another Smartlipo-MPX done! I really appreciated he and all his staff were always kind, knowledgeable, and poised, which made feel comfortable from the beginning to the end.

I had my breast augmentation surgery today at 7:30am and am very pleased with the results. I left the recovery room about 20 minutes after i was taken there and felt much better than anticipated. Dr.Lowen did a wonderful job, no bleeding or bruising. My husband and I even went shopping after I left the hospital. Dr.Lowen and his staff made it a very comfortable experience for me and I would definantly recommend him to any of my friends that would like to have any sort of enhancement. Thank You Dr.Lowen, i now feel much more confident with my appearance.

Dr. Lowen is the BEST DOCTOR I've ever known. His knowledge does not end with cosmetic surgery and enhancing one's appearance. I met him 15 years ago when he literally saved my husband's hand. After that, I knew that I would never let anyone else touch my face and it has paid off. He has a good eye and gives me suggestions on what might be good for me. He did a midface lift and an eye job and I had NO bruising! It was incredible. I've recommended him many times to my friends and they have been very pleased with the results and follow up. I regularly go to his office for Botox and Radiesse and plan to continue my visits with him. I'm completely satisfied.

I had my breast augmentation surgery at 3pm on Friday afternoon and was grocery shopping later that night. I felt great and was so happy with my new breasts! I had no bruising, no bleeding and only had to take motrin to stay perfectly comfortable. I even hosted my daughter's 10th birthday party/sleepover the following day! Dr. Lowen and his staff are very nice, personable and professional. Every aspect of my experience was fabulous.

Extremely inappropriate behavior; went for Botox and he used me as a 'teaching subject' for a staff member, but did not talk to me at all during the procedure but referred to me as though i weren't there. He kept me in his office 45 minutes afterwards, manipulating my face with his hands into all kinds of shapes and telling me I needed all kinds of additional treatment. Unprofessional, insulting, and barely civil.

went in for a breast augmentation consult. the staff was decent, but the entire experience was very sterile and hurried. the doctor seemed annoyed with my questions and ready to just get the appointment over with. i was not expecting a handholding session, but a little compassion and empathy would have been nice. there goes $75 down the drain.
