Dr. Bergstrom advised me to get 8 of my molars filled. I asked if there we other options like oral hygiene or diet modifications. She said no, once there was decay there was no reversing it. Unwisely I accepted her advice and had 6 of the 8 filled. That maxed out my insurance for the year so she asked me to come back in January so the next year's insurance would cover it. I canceled the January appointment. Since then I went to another dentist and they saw no reason for filling the remaining 2. In fact, with how shallow the other fillings are they questioned whether any fillings were ever necessary.
Be careful that she doesn't jump to do expensive procedures just because you have insurance to cover it.
