After repeated requests to have my medical record forwarded to my Doctor it has not been done. This has negatively affected my health Dr Rubinstein office requested a fee of $26 needs to transfer my medical record. My understanding is that when the request is done by a doctor, there should not be a fee charge. After all this is my medical record. And I have already paid you $26 in the past for a copy of my medical record. The office manager said that the charge has been assesses BECAUSE DOC RUBENSTEIN HAS NOT REFERED ME TO THIS DOCTOR. THE LAST THING I NEED IS A REFERAL FROM DR. RUBENSTEIN. I am not happy with the way Dr. Rubenstein practices patient care and I don’t want his referrals. I can find a competent doctor on my own. I needed previous sonogram so that they can be compared with my current sonogram.

I wrote my review too quickly. When we went back for follow-up, he was very arrogant. Told us my daughter's symptoms could be caused by anything, not Hashimoto's even though that's the diagnosis and her symptoms are textbook. Looking for someone who will treat her because she is so miserable.

Saw Rubenstein for a few years and each time I went I dreaded it. Finally, after looking at the sign in sheet I realized another patient had the same appointment time. I thought I was there the wrong day. When I told the recetionist, she told me "you can leave if your not happy but you will be billed". Each visit was over an hour wait. The last time I went I waited for 1.5 hours before letting them know I was leaving. Just then the nurse called my name and I told her I had to go and she said, "you wait until I call you to tell us your leaving?" She started an argument so I left. The last time I went I was the last apt. of the day. As I pulled up in the parking lot, 5 min before my apt., my phone rang. It was the receptionist calling to tell me I was late and would be charged and yet he's never less than an hour late! It took me two months to get my records and now I see a lovely Dr. who is on time and cares about me, not money.

I honestly don't know what everyone is talking about with Dr. Rubenstein. I was braced for an awful experience after reading some of the reviews but decided to go because they got us in so quickly after I called to make an appointment for my 15-year old daughter. His jokes are corny ("You must be her sister!"), but he took a thorough history and did the thyroid untrasound himself, saying he didn't trust anyone else. I had some prior labs so that may have sped things along but we were in and out in an hour, and I'm going back next week to discuss some more blood work he did and a treatment plan. Dr. Rubenstein is definitely dry, but he's certainly not this ogre everyone makes him out to be; he seemed genuinely interested in my daughter's problem and helping treat her.

I have been going to Dr. Rubenstein for years because he takes my insurance. The office waits are horrific. They lost my file when they moved offices and never found it. He is completely unflexible in terms of working with me around an unusual schedule. He seems to change his mind all the time realitive to my symptons and what needs to be done. I just got a better insurance company and I am going to try and change doctors.

Worst doctor imaginable. Rude, arrogant, dismissive, and behind the times medically. He can read and interpret the lab numbers, but so can a computer - and the computer has more personality. The office staff is likewise rude and dismissive. Maybe there is something in the air there that causes unexcusable behavior. Dr. Rubenstein acts as if he were a nobel prise winner - but he is far from knowledgeable. He is the enbodiment of the worst type of American medicine. Be forewarned!

If you think he is rude, imagine what it must be like to work for him! There's a reason the staff acts the way we do. We are treated like crap and have no benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc).

have been seeing Dr. Rubenstein for about a year . Each visit I dreaded. The first visit I was a little impressed, however as more visits took place , this man prooved to be someone only out to get his co-pay and insurance money . I have Addisons disease, he did not know that I needed Solu-Cortef for emergency crisis for my disease. He told me to go to my local ER if I needed this . My instruction came from NIH doctors to always carry this around, He has been measuring a Thyroid tumor for me now for a year .. and does nothing about it . I went to him just recently about a 20 pound weightloss .. I had to call his office 3 times .. no one would call me back with my blood work . ,until I faxed over a nasty letter demanding it . They told me I needed to come in for an appointment to get the results .. and that my cortisol is low .. The last visit I had I waited in the waiting room for 3 hours .. then another hour in the exam room . I ended up leaving .. and have now fired him as my Endo.
