The best thing about Dr. Kaplan is her Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Kaplan seemed very cold and did not seem to want to listen to me. She tries too hard to keep your baby's birth on her own schedule. If you are laboring on Friday, you can expect a C-section if you are progressing slowly. I requested an epidural at 2cm and was told "no," since I wasn't progressing" after I was laboring for 36 hours. Since I wasn't progressing and would need a spinal for a c-section, why not give it a try?! If that happened, then I would have labored for several hours more and Dr. Kaplan would've had to leave for her conference before I gave birth. I was in the same boat with my next child and epidural worked, and my body relaxed enough for me to dilate. I got to have VBAC with a different doctor.

If going to the doctor can be a good thing this was. Staff was very helpful. Dr. Kaplan listened to my concerns and offered helpful advice. My problem isn't a quick fix kind of thing but now I have hope.
