His main concern is getting paid as much as he can. I now understand why.

After reading the other two ratings, I am convinced my opinion is justified. The man is a bully when it comes to trying to get a patient to do what HE wants them to do. The bullying occurred on two separate occasions before I finally decided to stop going there.

Misdiagnosed me w/ "root resorption" when I had a cracked crown. Wanted to do a very expensive implant w/bone graph. All I needed was a post and new crown. I had a very obvious crack in the crown of my tooth but somehow, with his $350 CT scan, he missed it. Asked him to indicate to another dentist (where I went to get a 2nd opinion) the area that he felt had "root resorption" and he circled an area on a different tooth. X-ray also appeared different from the one I saw in his office.

When I say that I had an obvious crack in the crown on this tooth, I mean it was clear as day. When my 2nd dentist took a regular bite-wing x-ray, I said (before the dentist could) "It's cracked". There was no root resorption. The 2nd dentist had three other dentist look at the x-ray to be sure no one felt there was any root resorption.

Dr. Sielberg had everyone concerned that they could be missing something. No. Additionally, there is no way that he could have missed this crack in the crown on the tooth.

Scam? perhaps? It is my belief that he wanted to charge for an implant (which he said would be approx. $6500) when all I needed was a crown with a post.

He also kept telling me that my insurance would not cover anything. Well, I have excellent dental insurance that actually covers implants. He would have been required to submit documentation indicating that I needed an implant though.

He convinced me to spend $350 for his CT scan. He somehow still missed the cracked crown that even I could diagnose. He tried to tell me that I had to see him or one of his "expert" friends because only they could do a good job. He scared me to death and caused almost a week of severe stress because I thought I had a $6500 dental problem. He also caused my treatment to be delayed. I have to wait for CT scan to arrive. He also had me stop taking an antibiotic and put me on Flagyl only, causing the infection to become worse. The 2nd dentist added a new antibiotic to clear it up. Long story short, he delayed treatment about 2 weeks and missed time from work. This was quite painful and he denied that I could be having nausea from the infection & cracked crown. I couldn't eat anything except mashed potatoes, soup, etc. and had a hard time keeping that down. He refused to give me anything for nausea. Let me be clear, I was not asking for (and even refused) pain meds or any controlled substance. I asked for something for nausea. I pratically had to beg for an antibiotic even though my tooth was oozing puss. He told me to just push on the gum and drain the puss a few times a day.

I can't say for certain what happened here with Dr. Sielberg. At best, he missed an obvious diagnosis and is incompetent. At worst, he may have been trying to scam me into having an un-necessary, costly, painful, and drawn out implant.

Reminds me of a used car salesperson.

I would not recommend.

We were referred to Dr. Silberg because we were unhappy with service provided by a medical colleague of his. We came with specific questions but Dr. Silberg was dismissive and defensive of his colleague rather than caring or sensitive. He was blatantly rude. I could not believe the service. We were offered treatment but denied and left because of his complete disregard for on going, seemingly endless, dental problems. please don't visit this man he is not what service providers should be.
