We've been seeing Dr Abdoney for 13 years. We've never had a bad experience. When my oldest was a toddler, he was afraid of the dentist but Dr Abdoney always put him at ease. When he had a filling at the age of 11, Dr Matt was able to give him a shot without my son realizing it - all he did was distract him.

I took my 6 year old son who is terrified of going to the dentist to Dr. Abdoney. My son always cries. I had brought him to Dr. Abdoney a few other times, along with my older son. I never had any issues before. However, this time, my son cried and Dr. Abdoney was downright mean to him. My son was first told that there had been a 2 year old that did not cry like he was. He was then told that if he did not stop crying, that he would be sent to the hospital where they would put a needle with an i.v. in him, put him to sleep and then clean his teeth! Dr. Abdoney then looked at me and told me that if my son acted this way the next time, "Do not come back with him, just stay in the waiting room!" My son was not pitching a fit, but crying. The doctor's comments were extremely harsh and cold. You do not use bullying, humiliation and threats to motivate a child. It was like he just snapped. I hope I can save other children and parents from being put through this.
