I have been a patient of Dr. Naimarks for many years. Too many. He always wants to see you in 2 weeks or a month. He does this to take advantage of your insurance and he has a high turn over rate. People don’t stay with him. He rushes you out the door. An appointment is supposed to be a minimum of 15 minutes. I have gotten max the entire time I have been with him 5 minutes. He also calls my prescriptions in wrong and he has also called them in to the wrong pharmacy several times. But if I need a medication before my appointment he charges $25 to call it in. If you miss or need to reschedule your appointment within 24 hours before, he charges you $125. But there aren’t any consequences for him when he messes up. I am done. Time for me to look out for me because all he is looking out for is my wallet!

I've given the man 4 months despite my first reaction. He doesn't listen to the patient or other medical facts. He calls me in every two weeks now because he wants to increase my meds after I asked to decrease them because it elevated my blood pressure. He keeps saying, "It was fine in my office that day." I keep saying it wasn't fine for two weeks in the hospital. Looking elsewhere.

I wish I could just rate Naimark himself, I'd give him a 0. He does not care about his patients and over prescribes medications and does not tell you what exactly your meds do. I have a severe case of Bipolar disorder, anxiety problems, and borderline-personality disorder so I am a difficult patient to prescribe medications to. Anyways he put me on 6 medications and every time I would see him he would say "what medication do you think is working the best" I don't freaking know, you're the doctor... I think its hard to tell what is working when you are on 6 meds... especially because I am not a doctor.

Every session he would talk about the bill, that's the only thing he cares about. He does not care for the well-being of his patients at all. I am going through some financial problems at the moment and set up a payment plan and that did not satisfy the man.

He is now going to drop me as a patient because of the damn bills that I will eventually pay. How can you just drop a patient while they are on so many medications? I don't know what I am going to do, I am really scared about what is going to happen to my health.

Right now, he has been on vacation for about a month so he obviously does not lack any money. He is a very greedy man.

When I first went here I had an okay experience. It was the first time I was actually treated for bipolar in my entire life (other doctors misdiagnosed me). Having medication for bipolar as opposed to depression medication (which makes bipolar worse) was a nice change- I felt better for a little while, but whenever I would go in to explain my concerns: what I was experiencing during a manic stage, and a low, my medication was always increased. The second to last time I was seen, my medication was increased so much that it negatively affected my vision (it would get so blurry I would "white out"- everything was just white and I couldn't see a thing), fine motor skills (I couldn't hold a pencil, glass, silverware, etc. for more than a few seconds before I would drop it or 'forget' how to use it), balance (I'm in fairly good shape and have good control over my body- I've never just randomly fallen over while walking, but after the increase in medication I did... a lot- a few times I seriously injured myself), and my memory/headaches got SO bad it was hard just to complete normal daily tasks. When I brought these many concerns up...my dosage was increased AGAIN. I gave it one more try and was as hopeful as possible- maybe for whatever reason it would have worked (sometimes strange things happen)- NOPE.. so much worse. I then had to change insurances to one he didn't accept- he knew my financial situation and wouldn't even consider allowing me to have a payment plan (the week before I was taken to the hospital), and on TWO occasions I was given the wrong information by the front desk staff about payments- the biggest one was telling me that my new insurance was covered, but when I went in for an appt after that information was given to me, it actually wasn't- so when I stated that I would have to cancel, the woman at the front desk told me that missing the appt would be $98, but so wouldn't an appt that wasn't covered by insurance; it just made sense to see him... so I thought. Turns out the appt was actually $165, and even though I was given wrong information from the STAFF, I still had to pay- no exceptions. Unfortunately I'm really disappointed, and wouldn't recommend anyone I know to go. As far as personality goes- he is a little hard to figure out, but once you do he's really nice. I'll give him that- he is "quirky" like a below review stated, but I enjoyed his sense of humor. That was it though. My biggest thing is that I just don't trust him anymore. I'm not sure how the medication works as far as profitability per how much is prescribed to patients, but if that were the case- if he were to be paid per the amount of medication he prescribed (so the medication companies profited and reward him) I would 100% believe it. Super bummed.

I read through the comments for Dr. Naimark and although I understand where these patients are coming from, I find them unnecessarily harsh. It took me several appointments to understand how to talk to him. I bring in notes and summarize my symptoms of my week in 60 seconds or less. If you say something as simple as "this medication is helping but not enough," that's even better. Maybe that's not the best doctor-patient relationship but after having several very bad psychiatrists he's the best one so far. I'm a pretty complex patient and all of his medication changes have been helpful. He is always open to suggestions, as long as they're not stupid. He seems on top of his game with getting back to you, quick appointments in an emergency, absolutely FANTASTIC office staff. He has a quirky personality and way of handling his patients, but give him a shot. He's very knowledgable.

Dr. Naimark may not have the best bedside manner but after knowing him for six years, he's friendly, kind and, well, basically a genius. He's encouraged me to lose weight (I'm down 70 pounds) and was incredibly helpful and communicative during my 2 pregnancies. Anyone who is put off by him, give him a second chance. He's saved my life. He's not supposed to be your friend, he takes his job very seriously. Honestly, if you need to chat, find a therapist, not a psychiatrist.

Dr. Naimark is callous, uncaring, and his staff is extremely inconsiderate. I'm grateful to not be suffering from depression or they would probably push me over the edge!

"Dr. Naimark" was as rude and cold as almost everyone else has said. Those that think he is professional and courteous have obviously never been to a previous psychiatrist before!! He started me on low doses of the three meds I was on (I am type 1 bipolar) and never increased them to the helpful levels they were before. His "covering" Dr was of no help at all when I had a med emergency.....didn't even have the guts to call me himself, had the rude secretary do it.
