Waited 1 hour before Dr. Lipson saw me. I find that very rude. Spent 3seconds explaining my situation. Sorry I had the spinal stmimulator put in...does nothing for me. I don't wish to see him again.

This is the second time that I have had the pleasure of associating with Dr. Lipson. I had two herniated discs in my lower spine and had chronic pain in my left leg. Fortunately for me, we found Dr. Lipson. Not only were 2 discs herniated, they had calcified which made my surgery a bit more difficult. I had my surgery on a Friday, and was back in my classes on Tuesday night. He made sure that he explained everything to me and exactly what he was going to be doing. This first surgery was almost 9 years ago.
Now to my most recent surgery, which was May 16th of this year. As soon as I got my MRI results the first doctor to pop into my mind was Dr. Lipson. Unfortunately, I needed to have surgery again, in the same spot as the first. Fortunately for me, Dr. Lipson and his amazing staff and surgical coordinator got me in for surgery 2 weeks after the initial appointment. He yet again, fixed my back. While I am not at 100% yet, he expects me to make a full recovery.

Dr. Lipson knows his stuff, he is the most competent, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful surgeon I have dealt with. He talks to you and explains things where you can understand, he does not talk down to you. He takes the time and effort to make sure that everything is healing well and answers each and every question, whether it seems stupid or not, he takes all the questions a patient asks him as if they are the most important question. I would recommend him for and to everyone who has back issues because of all the positive vibes and how he makes you feel.
Thank you to him and his staff who helped me get back to the way I need to be, to enjoy my life with no pain.

Compared to the typical procedure Dr. Lipson normally does, my procedure was a simple microdiscectomy. But my herniated disc was stopping me from leading a normal life. Things like sitting and getting out of bed were an ordeal. Less than 30 mins after my procedure I was given the okay to leave. The hospital was far from home. Normally sitting for that long would have been a nightmare. I got home with no pain. The procedure was on a Friday and I was back working on Monday. Thank you Dr. Lipson

He is one of the kindest and most competent surgeons I've encountered. He did a wonderful job on my surgery and treated me and my family with tremendous respect. He's very clear with his communication and was very successful in accomplishing his goals in my care.
