I want to start off by asking a question. Why do you go to the eye doctor? Upon arrival the girl at the front calls my insurance company just check the coverage. I assume that information would have been shared with me before the eye exam, but it wasn't. He gives me my eye, exam and dilates my eyes tells me he'll be back in 20 minutes that the girl will help me pick out my glasses. When the girl comes to get me she informs me that Dr Burns does not accept my insurance for glasses frames or lenses he does not accept that part of my insurance because of rules are too complicated. So that tells me he's a little and I'm wrong for being so upset about this? Nobody told me what it would cover I guess that's my responsibility I dropped the ball on that one. But when you go somewhere like that nine times out of 10 when they check your insurance they tell you right away I wasn't told until I was on my way to pick out a pair of glasses, that he will not accept my insurance for glasses but I could pay out of pocket. Why do I have insurance then? So beware if you're on Medicare he will only take care of half of your problem. I feel misled and lied to. I know bottom line is my responsibility to know what my coverage is sometimes people need a little help and when that help is taking advantage of REALLY?
