Dr. Abidi corrected my misconception about wearing low-on-the-ankle socks, stating that compression hose would be better. Although I have varicose veins and swelling of the ankles, I will soon commence treatments for this condition with Dr. Ruby Lo. Dr Abidi was responsible for the referral to Dr. Lo.

I am a long time patient of Dr Abidi. I am usually seen at the Los Gatos office. Dr Abidi is professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable in his field. He has helped me with foot, ankle and knee issues. He performed meniscus surgery on my right knee and I couldn’t be more happy. The pain before surgery was not significant but I knew I had torn something in the knee. I was walking with crutches the day of surgery after I was released and I didn’t think that would happen. I recovered quickly with his guidance. I followed through with PT and never missed my appointment. I will eventually have my left knee done as well but I’m waiting but I know Dr Abidi will be the surgeon. I appreciate his advice and know he’s looking out for my welfare.

Dr. Abidi not only treats me as a patient but as family. He always remembers every detail about my mom and brother, whom he has seen in the past. When I see him at my work, the same thing. He treats me like I’m family. He also has a professional way to suggest different lifestyle or activities if he feels the current way may be potentially harmful to your bones or orthopedic health.

Dr. Abidi was terrific in my visit yesterday. He helped me with my hip pain and estimated that I have another couple of years before hip replacement!

I received an email to share feedback about my recent care experience with Dr. Abidi.

I share this feedback with the hope that it can be reviewed and taken to heart, so that other patients do not have the care experience I did, and instead feel cared for.

My primary care provider referred me to Dr. Abidi for some orthopedic issues that have been severely impacting my life for many years. During my first visit with him, I know he must’ve explained what was going on but to be honest, I left the visit feeling confused, not fully understanding what my problems were, and unclear on next steps.

I didn’t want to go to my follow-up visit, but my daughter suggested that I do in case he might be able to help and get further diagnostic testing. I really wish I hadn’t. There was quite a long wait to see him, and then an additional wait in the tiny exam room. When he came in, he didn’t offer any pleasantries, even a basic ‘hi it’s nice to see you’, and instead asked why I was there. Asking a patient, who has seen you previously and who you have medical history on, why they are there when you asked them to follow-up feels incredibly insulting. I was only there because he told me to follow up with him. He unfortunately has terrible bedside manner and in his presence I felt stupid and he showed no compassion for me or issues I’ve been dealing with.

I left his office and cried. My experience with him really brought me down and the next several days felt very difficult.

I had a follow up with my primary care provider and mentioned to her my experiences with him. She said that it was pretty well-known he did not have good bedside manner, but that he was an excellent clinician. Unfortunately, part of being an excellent clinician is actually caring for your patients, not just being good at diagnosing and treating medical issues. I truly write this feedback with the hope that it can be taken seriously, and that this provider will make somewhat of an effort to listen, understand, and empathize with the people that he is supposed to be helping, rather than just identifying and treating illness and injury.

Dr. Abidi and staff provided me excellent medical care. I had full confidence in Dr. Abidi's knowledge of and treatment of my 3 fractured metatarsal bones in my foot. I highly recommend Dr. Abidi and his staff.

Dr Abidi is a good doctor working in a horrible office. His staff seems incompetent, especially in scheduling appointments. Every visit for the past year has resulted in a minimum 45 min wait, even when I have an early Mon morning appointment. I always ask if they’re running on time, and every time they lie to me. I’m so sick of their lack of respect for their patients’ time.
