I've been going to Dr. Yu for over 12 years, and have had great service. She has handled all my problems. Gone above and beyond to make sure I was healthy. Always referred me to a specialist if needed. In all this time they have only rescheduled my appointments 4 times. I didn't really mind. Didn't really care why they changed the appointment. She could have been ill. What a surprise a doctor got sick. Will follow her anywhere in town.

I like Dr. Yu as a person, however, in the 6 years I've been her patient, she has never once touched me - she's never listened to my heart or lungs, or looked into my ears, NOTHING! When I once complained about knee pain, she said it was probably arthritis, and never looked at it, or touched it! BIZARRE! Her staff NEVER identify themselves by name over the phone or by wearing name tags, and for working in a doctor's office, they are not knowledgeable about basic medical issues. But the primary reason I'm choosing to switch doctors is because Dr. Yu (her staff) have canceled too many of my appointments at the last minute! This has happened to me on numerous occasions and I have friends and family members who are also patients of Dr. Yu's who complain about the same problem. Many of my friends and family members are also switching doctors. This is NOT a way to run a medical practice, but it IS a way to lose patients. Wake up, Dr. Yu.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yu's for a few years now. I have also had appointments cancelled a half hour or so before they were to start, often costing me money due to time taken from work to travel to the appointment. Once was a Friday before Memorial Day weekend my appt was 4.45 and I was called at 4 while I was driving to the appointment. The second time was recently, I was called at 8.45 to cancel a 9.00 appointment. I really like Dr. Yu and she makes me very comfortable, but I think her receptionist is the one to blame. I don't think that she gives msgs to Dr. Yu in a timely manner, nor do I think she calls to cancel appt. as early as she could. What really upset me was that when I called to cancel an appointment (between the two appointments "she" canceled", they attempted to charge me a late cancelation fee. I didn't get a rebate when she canceled on me within 24 hours, she didn't get one from me.

While Dr. Yu seems to be a fairly decent physician, her staff is completely incompetent. As a previous poster mentioned, her receptionist is extremely rude and unhelpful. They will lie to you so, beware!

This doctor office cancelled my appointment twice at the last minute! Lied to me in front of my face and told me the doctor wasn't in, when I saw the doctor there with my own eyes. The receptionist was appallingly rude and unsympathetic, not to mention un-professional!
