Dr. Lewis performed Surgery that was incorrectly performed when I lived in NY by my previous OBGYN. That was 6 years ago when she was affiliated with another office. I was treated very courteous, and the procedure was explained in detail. Afterwards I had a follow up once the labwork was back.

She did not treat my condition and when it got worse, she did not react to my needs. It got worse and I had to go to another doctor to have emergency surgery for a septic ovary and tube that I could have died from. She did not request to see me when I told her how much pain I was in and told me she could do the surgery in 3 weeks. . . . maybe.

I will always be bothered by the fact that Dr. Lewis did not recognize my large, deformed ventral hernia that resulted from a laparotomy she performed on me. I told her about my pain, but she dismissed it - and actually did not make a note in my record. After 7 months of the hernia getting larger and getting worse, she still did not make a correct diagnosis. I needed a plastic surgeon and a hernia repair surgeon to put me back together again. They were both astounded that she did diagnose the hernia. Her office is warm and inviting, and she did a few things that made me like her. BUT, I am stunned at her lack of knowledge and her lack of concern.

An amazing office. Very relaxing and comfortable waiting room. Always prompt...in the 4 years I have been going there I have waited once for 35 minutes because of an emergency at the hospital. The best doctor in Fredericksburg!

What a pleasant doctors office environment! Hardly your normal OBGYN office! It didn't feel like a general train station where you get your ticket punched and back out the door as with other OBGYN's I have been to in area. All the staff are polite and up front with the patient. Dr. Lewis is frank with you about what she thinks while having a kind and caring bedside manner. You won't leave this office wondering about questions you should have asked or things the doctor didn't explain very well. I will travel the hours drive and miss work to see her again when I need to.

Dr. Lewis is a caring and knowledgeable phisician. She listens carefully which seems to be a lost art among many of today's doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis.

Dr. Lewis is fantastic and very warm and personable. Her staff drops the ball too often though and does not return calls or assist unless you are dealing directly with Dr Lewis at an appointment.

I've had trouble finding a good doc in F'burg. Dr. Lewis is the best I've found. The office is very calm and welcoming. Dr. Lewis was able to diagnose an issue I've had for years (which 6 other docs couldn't figure out), but I had to find a GYN who specialized in my issue (who was at Hopkins, in Baltimore) who could actually treat it. I had some double-billing issues w/ Dr. Arlene's office, and didn't have much luck with the staff when I tried following up by phone (about treatment options), but during appointments, Dr. Lewis took time to listen and document everything. She was the first doctor in this area that I felt truly cared, and wanted to try to resolve my concerns. I'm very grateful that she was able to diagnose my issue. Now that I have been to Hopkins for treatments, however, I've come to realize a whole new level of medical expertise and professionalism, and (despite the 2-3 hr drive) I will never go anywhere else.

the office is aesthetically pleasing, staff is very warm and friendly, Dr. Lewis has an awsome knowledge base and is very attentive and caring.
