Short 15 minute appointments, just listens to you and throws prescriptions at you, this guy is obviously overwhelmed with patients or something. Doesn't answer concerns well, and seems to be in a constant hurry, and meds are his only answer. Also when you have horrible side effects, which you will, he blows it off as "well that's what happens". Really?? No other possible options??? Found a different psychiatrist and wow, what a WORLD better. IMHO I say stay away!! read this article it helped me alot. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/matter-personality/201204/how-recognize-bad-psychiatrist

Knowledgeable, Approachable, Kind, Patient, Helpful. Dr. Wirthlin helped me with a bout of anxiety and depression. I spent an hour once a week and six months later I am only seeing him every two months for half an hour. I will be finished with my treatment in the near future. He provided helpful resources, homework, and medication which helped me through this difficult time. I am currently titrating off the medication and expect to be off my meds when I finish treatment. His specialty is child Psychiatry but I highly recommend him for adults too.
