I should preface my review with the fact that I come from a Healthcare provider background. I do feel that because of this I may have a higher standard than some. My first visit went well and I felt that Dr Kisella was both very knowledgeable and a good listener. But on the day of the extraction as well as a week later when I returned with complications, I was talked down to, scolded as a child might be without adequate time to explain myself and be heard. It was after the scolding that he looked in my mouth to see what the problem truly was: he said just the stitches needed to be removed, quickly (and quite painfully) he took them out. Then he hurried off to his next patient. Less than 48 hours later with even more pain than before and in tears I went to my primary referring dentist who identified 2 adjacent ulcers, and an acute infection in the extraction cavity. I was put on antibiotics and given a RX solution to help heal the ulcers. In this visit he also did an x-ray that showed a small piece of my palate had came off with the tooth and this could also account for the severe sensitivity I was having. I just don't feel Dr Kisella does well with complications, and if they do happen (atleast with me) it was a bother. Maybe his military background has caused him to be somewhat inflexible and uncompassionate at the times or situations that require it the most. I can not recommend him also because I would have expected an antibiotic be prescribed at least after I came in a week after the tooth extraction.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Kisella by her dentist for multiple extractions prior to orthodontic treatment. I had read some of the negative reviews and had concerns that he might be too brash, but that was not the case in the slightest. Dr. Kisella not only charmed both my daughters and myself, but the staff were helpful, as well. They explained all the ins and outs prior to surgery and after surgery, went the extra mile to make sure she had everything we would need to keep her comfortable. You can tell they want the best care for their patients. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

I'm an old guy (75) so I have had many experiences with Drs. and Dentists over my lifetime. Dr Kisella ranks with the best. He is knowledgeable, confident and has a great chair side manner. I had two broken wisdom teeth extracted. My appointment was at 8 am (which was when we started) and I was finished and released in under 45 minutes. His estimate was right on the money.. I experienced virtually no pain. Dr Kisella called me that evening to see how I was doing and received a "thumbs up" response. I highly recommend him.

Very inaccurate estimate after having them check with our insurance provider prior to procedure. Ended up paying over three times the estimate and had little to no help from Kisella.
