This man is a monster. He told me, a 16 year old, that I was DYING of liver failure back in 2002. He said I had 6 months to live. Put me on so much medication that made me severely sick….only to find out a year later that not only did I not need all the surgeries and biopsies, that it was the wrong diagnosis completely. He had the worst bedside manner not to mention the 6 hour wait to see him each time. I hope he loses his medical license for good.

Dr. Mark W. Swaim overprescribed my medication which put me in stage 3 kidney disease. Today I'm in end stage renal failure due to his irresponsibility of his medical practice. I'm currently on dialysis as my lifeline. So if you have a death wish, he's your man. Fock you Dr. Swaim!

It has taken me 15 years to talk about this dr. My husband had hep c. He had gone into remission and Dr. Swaim kept pushing that he needed an operation that cut blood circulation and put red blood cells back in the body. The problem was he thought he knew everything and didn't listen to me about what was going on with my husband after his surgery.he never checked on him after the surgery in person until I turned his morphine off, then he and a lot of nurses came bursting intohis room. By then he had gone into a coma and died one week after his surgery. I blame dr. Mark Swaim for my husband's death. 3/1/2004.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Staff was very unfriendly as well as doctor. He was rude, aloof and downright mean. Wait time was usually 5-6 hours after appointment time. He would come to the hospital for his rounds around 1:00 A.M. He seemed to hate questions. Most hateful doctor I have ever had. Would never recommend!!!

He is a very rude, uncaring person with little regard for his patient's feelings. No reason to wait 8-10 hrs. to see him, it is rude and demeaning to patients. Recommend anyone travel outside of Jackson to receive decent health care from a reputable Dr.

Dr. Swaim was difficult to access & approach concerning my mother's health and prognosis. He did discover her disease, but failed to communicate effectively to her and family. My time trying to find out information from Dr. Swaim was a nightmare when my mother was in the hospital. He was angry and aloof over the phone and said if I wanted to talk I could come to his office. I believe he is a smart man, but that one good feature is obscured due to his rudeness and what appeared to be complete disregard for his patient and her family. My mother's death was hard enough to endure without the diffulty and frustration we went through trying to communicate and deal with Dr. Swaim. I have left out many details here, but I would never, never recommend Dr. Swaim.

Dr. Swaim has saved my life. He was very caring during each visit, taking the time to ensure that the medications I was taking weren't affecting me in all areas. He is an excellent physician who knows his stuff. He is very thorough without putting patients through unnecessary tests.
