So I have never placed a review on any company before or Dr. But i'm very dissatisfied . A year and a half ago I came to Dr. Desai for tooth pain, I was told i was going to need a root canal done, initially I wanted to get the tooth pulled, but she told me I should save it, so since she was a professional I took her advice, Well I definitely should of went with my gut, I moved to a different state 4 months later, recently went to a dentist and the dentist told me I have an open margin in the crown that Dr. Desai did, and that I need to replace the crown that Dr. Desai did, bc there is still bacteria, food, etc getting to my tooth under the crown, so basically the crown is not completely sealing the tooth. I asked my dentist what causes an open margin in the crown, my dentist told me the causes of an open margin could be from the way the molding of tooth was taken, the company that made the crown didn't make it properly or the dr. that placed the crown didn't place the crown correctly. my dentist told me to call Dr. Desai and see if she guarantees her work and see if she could help me, I called a few times, sent a copy of my x-ray that my dentist took recently, Kara who answered the phone was completely unprofessional after the third day I called, I asked Kara if Dr. Desai was going to call me back her response was " I don't know I can't make her call you". will i finally spoke to Dr. Desai she told me she cant guarantee her work after 6 months if i did not come back for a cleaning which she then stated was " my fault" and then told me she noticed that the tooth that is next to my crown had a cavity which caused the open margin, Dr Desai then told me that she " knows she did a great job, and she takes pride in her work".I have spoke to a friend who is dental assistant at a different dental office she told me a cavity on a different tooth would not cause a open margin on the crown that Dr. Desai did, My dental insurance will not cover a replacement, so now I have to pay out of pocket to replace the crown.
