Dr. Wheeler encourages patients to take an active part in their own health care decisions, providing options and discussing all aspects of a situation. She doesn't talk down to you and she explains WHY she is suggesting things. She is pro-active about getting referrals and working within the limits of a patient's insurance coverage. Her staff has always been professional and helpful when I call or go to the office.

By far one of the worst doctors I have been to. Was never avaiable and then I found out she was only working 3 days a week. No one ever told me that she was a part time doctor. The amazing part is that she still continued to accept patients. Used the urgent care and emergency room like it was her office. When I was ill thats where her office would refer me too. Urgent care got so tired of me being sent to them while I was being treated for a chronic illness, they finally called her office and told them that they needed to care for me. This doctor is a big NO NO. She also manage to botch my medical records with inaccurate information, which now makes it hard to get insurance.

Dr. Wheeler has been my doctor for over 12 years. I've been diagnosed with a Terminal illness and with Dr Wheelers help, knowledge, compassion and understanding; I have improved and even stabilized. I have always been treated with total respect and when I've been upset, have even gotten a hug from the doctor. Dr. Wheeler has saved my life and made my health a priority.

I was a patient for over 12 years. She abandoned me without a consultation or a referral. I am on 12 meds. She will not return my calls. I can't find a Dr. Her nurse had an issue with me. She intimidated me, disrespected and humiliated me without regard for my safety. She made derogatory remarks to me and threatened me. She and the clinic manager set me up for patient dumping. I complained to the clinic manager, who at the time agreed I had a valid complaint (the nurse changed my RX), but was unwilling to help me and then dismissed me from Dr. Wheelers care without letting me see the Dr or speak on the phone to her. This was at Geary Street Family Practice, a Samaritan Health Clinic. I have advanced Fibromyalgia and PTSD. I will die without my meds. They run out in 3 days.
