Terrible. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Does not listen and is rude.

If you are going to pick between the two psychiatrists at IU Health I would go to doctor Wenzler. He sees the value of both talk therapy and meds and even with short "update" type of appointments he asks about your life.

Dr. Wenzler is a jerk. He's very arrogant, judgmental, alienating, and condescending. He usually asks intrusive and irrelevant questions about my sex life. He doesn't even read your file before you go in - he's always late and unprepared. He twists your words around and makes you feel crazy and stupid. DO NOT go to him unless you want to leave feeling more depressed than you were to begin with.

Dr. Wenzler is a very good psychiatrist. He shows great care and concern for his patients and is helpful in helping balancing one's mental illness and one's life stressors.
