Very rude office staff. I called today to make an appointment, a lady named Marylin picked up and repeatedly saying we do not have any appointment for CHIP patients until January. When I said to set one for January, she change her tone with an attitude and said, we do not make appointment until then and you should try Wal mart or something . It sounded like they do not like patients with CHIP insurance. They should totally discontinue CHIP and can tell we are not accepting that anymore openly. I hope, Dr. Welding will change the rude ones , who are so adamant and having a hatred to low income people. The doctor is a very nice person, that is why we wanted to stay there.

I love doctor Welding's office! I have gone there for about 3 years now and I wouldn't change places. I also just got Lasik done and Dr. Welding was there the day after just to check my eyes himself. His office is the best

I think Dr. Welding is a good doctor and did get my prescription correct. I first saw him while he was part of the team at Flower Mound Eyecare. They are getting so busy though that I thought I would try Welding Eyecare. As I said, Dr. Welding was fine, it's his staff that needs improvment. His optician went through the motions but did not seem invested in great service. To adjust my glasses so optician tools were utilized. He just bent the frames. I could have done that. Will probably return to Flower Mound Eyecare and just be patient in my quest to get an appointment there. I rather not deal with the Welding Eyecare staff.

Unless you enjoy being treated like you're a stepchild at a family reunion, shop elsewhere. Dr. W. may very well be a competent optometrist, but that is difficult to see through his different attitude toward his patients (based on my and several acquantances' experiences). The staff has a similar "oh well" attitude towards their customers: My glasses took nearly two months to come in, and the staff merely blamed the lab and the insurance company and offered to "maybe give them a call."

I found the office staff very friendly and helpful, from scheduling my appointment to the day of my appointment. Dr. Welding was very nice and knowledgeable. It was my first ever eye exam and I am in my 40s so I was somewhat anxious. I felt very comfortable and at ease. I liked the frame selection and the gentleman who helped me pick out my frames was very thorough, friendly, and he listened to what I said. I highly recommend Dr. Welding's office.

Very friendly, and helpful! The staff was great, and patient! (Considering a patient thought it was OK to let her children run around the waiting area, being loud and obnoxious, while other pt's politely waited! WOW! I wonder about parent s sometimes!) The staff was very apologetic for the inconvenience! Dr. Welding was great! Understanding and Friendly. Was extremely thorough and took his time-I didn't feel rushed at all, considering it was late in the afternoon! Explained everything he was doing (I was a first time patient) and is working hard with me to correct my problems! Very impressed-will continue to see him, as well as take my children to see him also!! I would highly recommend him! As for the previous posting written by a patient on 8-30-10, I seriously doubt the validity of her statements! Please! Sad that someone would post such nonsense!!!

Staff was extremly rude! The girl at the front desk spent all her time flirting with my husband! That was the cheesiest optical I have ever been to. Don't go here unless you want a girl with an obnoxiuos space in her teeth to try to get with your husband or boyfriend! Totaly not professional and to top it off they made my glasses wrong and I had to go to Wal Mart to have the problem corrected. Terrible!
