Dr Hughes is great. I have pretty high expectations for doctors. My biggest requirements are: 1)They need to be really smart, 2)They need to listen to me (tougher to find than it should be), and 3)They need to be able to actually SEE me. Dr. Hughes knows his stuff. I ask a lot of questions, and he answers them thoroughly and conversationally. He listens very carefully to my concerns about side effects, cost of medication, long term expectations, whatever. Through all of it, he is always focused on making my life better - and he has! I've been to doctors who are really charismatic and have good "bedside manner," but Dr. Hughes is just so interested in helping me. It's different than just being personable. Also, I'm pretty busy, but I can get appointments with Dr. Hughes at times that work for me and the appointments always run right on schedule. Overall, it's been a great experience.

I was referred to Dr. Hughes for anxiety & depression. I found him compassionate and above all effective. He saved my career through his expertise. I would recommend him to anyone. He treated me with respect and I felt genuinely concerned about my well-being. I evaluate a doctor by the success he has on my health. With that norm, I would rate Dr. Hughes as 100% effective.

Dr. Patrick L. Hughes has been my Psychiatrist for ten years and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He has treated my condition, which requires a close monitoring of medication, with compassion and diligence. I require a larger dose of a medication than insurance allows, and he helped me navigate through the bureaucracy and get the much-needed maintenance medication I need. He has also helped me during the times I have not had insurance with payments. I have recommended him to friends and family and they have the same great medical care I have received.

I have seen Dr. Hughes several times over the last few years. He is very knowledgeable and willingly takes the time to explain why and how the medication he prescribes is of benefit. He has given me hope on some very dark days that the medication WILL help and he was correct. I find him honest and to the point about his practice of medicine and would highly recommend him to others.

I was sent to Dr Hughes after I had been diagnosed with postconcussive syndrome by Sedgwick claims management.{a verry shady company in my opinion} after I had been seen by four other doctors a psychiatrist, a neurologist a ER doctor and a concentra doctor. two of which strongly suggested I needed an mri and they all agreed that I had post concussive syndrome. so I go to DR. Hughesm I tell him upfront that I hit my head and I,m having a had time remembering things and that he would have to go off the charts that the Insurance company provided him. well he only had about id say a third of the information. so I strongly suggested that we reschedule, he said that wont be needed. He denying that there was anything wong woth me physically and saying it was all in my head denied me my mri and pretty much said that I was full of it. He also said that all of the other doctors were wrong and he turned white as a ghost when I told him that sedgwick cms has been accused of paying doctors to lie.
