I have had 2 procedures done by this doctor and both times he had the operating room, supportive staff and me waiting for him to show up (the first time for about 30 minutes, the second time about 45 minutes). I don't think this is a time to be dragging your heels since both the staff and operating room may have been needed by another patient. He also seems to become agitated if you try to question him about alternative procedures or methods, this comes across as being very condescending. Since both times the procedures appear to have been successful (I'm still here), I have to assume he is a competent Interventional Cardiologist.

Recently, I have had to unexpectedly have a third procedure and a different Interventional Cardiologist, who had no previous knowledge of me or my history, was recommended by my personal physician and within minutes of arriving, he questioned me, answered my wife's questions, reviewed my records and arranged for an operating room and staff. Within 2 hours of having met me , he had placed 2 stents in me and was ordering the nursing staff to wheel me to a recovery room. This is what a "wonderful" physician does.

Dr. Amini is wonderful. He basically saved my life after my personal physician missed all the signs of my heart attack. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a cardiologist.
