I would never see her. She treats people and family very, very poorly. There are other GYNs that are knowledgable and you get compassionate care. She is one strange, mean lady.

I have been seeing Dr. Meglio for 15 years. She delivered both of my children. I moved to south Jersey 7 years ago and continue to take the ridfe up north for my yearly appointment. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and caring. Her "appearance" of having no bedside manner is simplya symptom of her being very quiet and I think somewhat shy. I, personally, bombard her with questions and she has NEVER made me feel uncomfortable. I would recommend her to anyone! She is great!

I was referred to Dr. Meglio by my relative who is a physician. Several of my associates at work also highly recommended her. She was very friendly, knowlegable, and made me feel very much at ease. She answered all my questions, and returned my call later on the same day. Her staff was very helpful. I've read some of these other posts,and do not agree with what has been written. Sounds like these gals have other "serious" mental issues.

Yes, Dr. Meglio is knowledgeable. But, when being diagnosed with a very depressing illness, she either never had or certainly does not have any now = empathy. She could easily be replaced by a robot. what differs in the human element is the human. I have recommended her to many people. I knew she was not personable, but I did not think she had no human qualities. I will recommend no one else to her. I would appreciate anyone knowing a good doctor in the west essex area, to put the name on this site...particularly a female gynecologist. She is so worried about getting her money, she makes no extra effort whatsoever to help out the human person. She could have made the commercial of when the woman finds out she has cancer and is handed her paperwork..Shame on you, Dr. Meglio. But....we all have our day.

I had a problem getting my period back after stopping birth control- she treated me like I was 12 explaining how your period works. She practically told me I wasted her time. Her office staff also asked me in the midding of her waiting room why I was there. I changed doctors right away!

Dr. Meglio is a very good doctor. She treated me through 2 pregnancies and I was very pleased with the quality of care. Whenever I called her with a problem, she responded, regardless of the time of day. She even made a special appt. for me on a day when she didn't normally have office hours because I was having some problems with my 2nd pregnancy. I delivered 2 beautiful healthy babies under her care and would recommend her to anyone who desires a knowledgeable doctor who is up on all of the latest information. She will answer your questions if you ask. Although you will typically have a wait in her office, if you schedule your appt. around lunchtime, chances are, you will not have much of a wait, if any. For those that describe her as "cold and uncaring" I think they are wrong. The woman is just busy! If you are looking for a "mommy" or someone to hold your hand, then she is not for you. If you want a good doctor who knows her stuff, then this is the doctor you should see.

Dr. Meglio is the most heartless doctor I have ever met in my life. While dealing with a High Risk Pregnancy I got little or no answers to my concerns. And at 6 months pregnant when I was concerned that I hadn't felt any movement, she made me sit and wait in the waiting room for 2 hours, and then when she couldn't find a heartbeat she told me that I should get an ultrasound in the morning. When I asked her if I should go to the hospital right away, she said no, it is safe to carry a dead baby in your womb for up to 2 weeks. Where is the Compassion? I had to go to a different hospital where Doctors were shocked at her response. Turns out I had lost the baby, and never once did she call to check on her patient! I would tell anyone having a baby or thinking of having a baby to look elsewhere. Unless you want a Doctor that could careless for you or your baby's well being.

Dr. Meglio is very knowledgable and I would trust her again with a c-section in a heartbeat... but with that said, she has a very cold personality and makes you feel intimidated to ask questions. She is also very by the book - so much so that it gets in her way of being able to have a bedside manner. If you are looking for a Dr. who is excellent with surgery & does things by the book etc.. go to her. If you are looking for a friendly, caring, kind, great bedside manner, Dr. Meglio is not for you.

I had a great pregnancy with her. She was available 24 hours a day. Unlike other Ob doctors, Dr. Meglio was at my delivery, not signed out to some stranger. She is kind, compassionate, and always took the time to answer all my questions. Go see her.
