I've been with Dr. Hemsath for several years, and I highly recommend her. She's extremely intelligent and explains everything in detail. She's very professional but also very kind. Exams are quick and gentle. Her knowledge really is impressive. I completely trust her. Lisa and Pat in the office are wonderful ladies. I always leave with a smile and feeling confident in Dr. Hemsath's advice or treatment.

I really like Dr. Hemsath. She is caring and up on the latest research and treatments. She takes the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions. The only downside, getting through to a person by phone can be difficult due to overlong voice mail instructions and limited hours.

On Nov 6, 2013 Dr Hemsath sent a letter, without my consent, to three of my other physicians. In this letter she stated that the reason for my visit was genital herpes. She went on to state the number of sexual partners I have had (I did not discuss that with her so I don't know how she arrived at that figure). "She has had at least 10 sexual partners but has had less frequent activity over the last few years" She went on to say that I have also recently been treated for Demodex skin mites. "I suspect she has genital herpes. We will draw blood work for Herpes type 1 and 2. Dr. Hemsath notifed my dermatologist, my arthritis doctor, and my gastroenterologist of this (via fax). This is a breach of Doctor/Patient Confidentiality. Apparently the privacy notice in Dr's office simply has no meaning. Also when you call her office there is a recording that you must have your insurance cards with you at that time. If not you will be asked to call back again. It is obnoxious.

After Dr. Cozad left I started seeing Dr. Hemsath . I've only seen Dr. Hemsath a couple of times , but I think Dr. Hemsath and her staff are fabulous . I have always sought out the best doctors around , willing to drive even a couple of hours away if needed . Luckily , for me Dr.Hemsath is close by and I'm very happy to have her as my GYN.

I have been a patient for about 5 years and love Dr. Hemsath and her staff. They always treat me like I am important and I never feel rushed. She has taken care of a few health situations I had and was always right. I am now in menopause and got Bio Identical hormones and feel great.

I just found out the hard way you are on your own with Dr. Hemsath. I'm in my mid 40's and she prescribed progesterone to help with pre-menopause. Perfect- EXCEPT she knows I'm not on birth control and this hormone is also used as a fertility drug. Would have been nice to know since I'm now pregnant!!! Unbelievable. The pharmacy didn't tell me... no one. I just thought it was hormone replacement therapy.

Dr. Hemsath is the best Gyn I have ever been to. She does not rush or overbook and she actually cares about all your concerns. I had to leave her a couple years back because of a change of insurance and I was heart broken. My insurance changed again recently and I was thrilled to go back.

Love love love this office and doctor. She is very compassionate and caring and really takes the time to talk with you. So thorough. Just had my first surgery with Dr. Hemsath and very little pain, love it. The staff has been nothing but wonderful to me. Highly recommend and will continue to see her. She also did an endometrial biopsy and she was amazing, no pain, contrary to what I had read on the Internet. She explains everything as she goes, no surprises.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Hemsath. I can't say enough good about her. She was SO nice, friendly, and down to earth. She was so chatty that the exam was over before I knew it. She really knew what she was talking about as well. The staff members were also very nice to me, despite the other opinions, especially the assistant named Lisa. I'd recommend this office to anybody.

I have seen this Dr. several times and she has been professional and knowledgeable. She has several suggestions, which turned out to be right on the money. I drive 30 minutes to see this Dr. when there are several within 10 minutes of my home. The only downside would be the front desk. Not too friendly or helpful.
