Dr Buck is a rude, arrogant physician. He dismissed my questions and made me feel stupid. He talked down to the nurses and contradicted himself constantly when explaining my care. I will NEVER allow Dr Buck to see me, or anyone I know, ever again.

Dr. Brian Buck is a Mizzou Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon working in partnership with CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri to provide trauma support to the continually growing population of southwest Missouri. He and his five partners from Mizzou perform amazing surgeries and truly care for their patients. They do not pick and choose their patients based on their insurance, trauma does not only happened to the insured patients. Many people always take the time to share their disgruntle comments and never praise doctors for their exceptional care/work for patients. Dr. Buck is very knowledgeable in his field, and many patients still have the use of their limbs after miracles were performed to heal his patient. Southwest Missouri should be so lucky that Mizzou has provided an outstanding team of trauma doctors to care for this population of patients and save them from driving to Columbia! Thankful for Mizzou Orthopaedic Trauma!!

My son arrived in the ER at Cox Medical Center on 5-4-13 around 7:00 pm with a broken leg. An orthopedic Dr saw us the next morning and told us he felt we should put a rod in, but needed to consult with Dr. Buck. We were told all day Dr. Buck would be doing the surgery that day, 5-5-13 and that Dr Buck felt the best option we had was putting in a plate. Dr. Buck was a no show. After approximately 40 hours of my 14 year old laying on his back, he was sent to surgery. After waiting for Dr. Buck all weekend, we get to surgery and discover another surgeon is doing the surgery and she is not putting in the plate, but a rod. Exactly what we could have done the night we arrived in the hospital. I feel there should have been better communication. What should have been a short stay ended up being a week in the hospital and a case of pneumonia. I feel this could have been avoided had he been provided immediate care.
