I was shocked after I read some of the comments. My whole family has been going to him for over 10 years. I think he is very caring and a very knowledgeable doctor. He has great memory as well. Appointments are always on time, receptionists are always very professional and helpful. He always gave me the right diagnoses and sent me to the best specialists.

Would never recommend him to anyone. Sent me for blood work and I got stuck with a $700 bill because he didn't specify what test he wanted. When I asked him about it after receiving the bill his response was " I dont do paperwork and it's really not my problem, I don't want to deal with this, I am a doctor." What a quack!! Well I guess not all doctors graduate top of the class!!!

Dr dunphy has been treating me for high blood pressure for two years and has had me on the same meds with no help. My pressure has not change. I asked for a different med or a higher dosage. He then told to just wait. I'm no doctor but if the meds are not working you need to change it. So I switched dortors and with my new meds my pressure is good. The girl at the front desk is very nice and knowledgable. The office is clean. But the doctor is a jerk.

This Dr. Is for the birds. He is a nutcase. Walked into my home and started ranting and raving that we made to many phone calls to him and that he can not keep up with the demands. (I called him about 4 times.)Told me over the phone that my friend was a bully.(A mean person)Is this any way for a Dr. to talk to a patient. Never would I recomend him.

Well this doctor had me in his office talking to me like I was in jail or something. I was honest and told him everything about my health and my new concerns and he gives me motrin. lmao..not really but. He tells me for ME to get my records and well go from there in like a month. I was humiliated ashamed and felt like I must be crazy. One is for not knocking his teeth down his throat. Motrin for asthma??? Ok so AGAIN I switch doctors I figured I would go to Islip maybe in a smaller type doctors office. Ok great again...so I thought. I tell this doctor the same thing and do you know what he told me????? You live in YAPHANK, go see someone in Riverhead. I said That will take anothwer 3 weeks to see someone. By the time I left I just went home and cried for awhile. Feeling like maybe I'm a monster, why isn't anyone taking me as a patient. Can someone please help.

My husband went to Dr. Dunphy this am fo ra physical and to get some referrals. The doctor came in, and when my husband told him why he was there, he said "all that the day before 4th of July weekend?". we didnt get any referrals, just doctors to call, and we will never go there again. if he didnt want to work 4th of july weekend, he shouldnt be open. his staff was also VERY unfriendly.

His office staff is very helpful and efficient. He is attentive, but kind . On two occasions he told me to either call, or return to his office if I had any additional symptoms or issues.

I have been using Dr.Dunphy about 2 yrs now for my entire family. I am very disturbed to see the previous negative reviews. I find that he is very helpful, if he does not have an answer to your question, he will find it and provide literature for your review. There was one instance where he was really concerned for my health and made sure that I immediately had access to the specialists that were needed to remedy my condition. He made the calls to get me in the same day! He has been treating all 3 of my children, colds, school physicals and shots. I find him to be prompt, curteous and caring. I really enjoy that my appointment times are punctual, and I am not left waiting for an hour or more to see the doctor.

He told me I was lieing about the length of time he had given me on a prescription. He called my pharmicist only to find that I was right, Then he called me back not to appoligize but to tell me I need a new doctor because I lived to far away.
