Past 3 years I have been under the care of Dr. Rey. Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and depression. I am NOW a disabled VET. During treatment, therapy sessions were so costly I could no longer afford it. I went to the VA for help. Through the disability process, they provided therapy for free. I am in the process of switching to that system as I don’t have a local provider yet. I have missed appointments; however, I showed up to the office twice in the past week on the wrong day-what people with trauma, ptsd, adhd and depression do. I received a discharge letter today for non compliance with treatment. I complied. I was never offered any other type of treatment other than meds. AND THERE IS SO MUCH OUT THERE NOW FOR MENTAL HEALTH. I am so thankful the VA taught me that. But here I am, worrying I won’t have the meds I need. So, I just realized she just money. Practices such as this are problem with mental health in WV. This is definitely not over and I willing be seeking action.

Dr Ray is a complete wash as a psychiatrist. She treated my son for bipolar I disorder. He trusted her and felt she cared. With his condition getting him to keep appointments could some times a challenge. He missed one appointment and she dropped him as a patient. This happened when he was suicidal as was explained to staff. He needed help right then and I feared he would end his life. Dr Ray was very much aware of this but still refused to see him. Also, did not care enough to refer him to another psychiatrist. I could have lost my son but she did not care. I wouldn't let her treat my animals because she is a cold person who does her work for money not patient results.

Don't recommend at all. Cares about the money coming into her pocket not truly helping patients

I began seeing dr ray my senior year of high schoo in 2009. At the time it seemed like she genuinely cared about my well being. Over the years my appointments just became about what medicine I was being prescribed. Nothing more than 10 minutes of talking in an appointment. I chose to keep going to dr ray after I moved around and out of the area because of familiarity. After living in NYC for 1.5 years and not being able to make my last appt she closes my case. For the past five months her receptionist has lead me to believe that my case could be reopened. Called many times no straight forward answer. Now after my mental state is suffering from lack of care and six months later I'm being told to find a new doctor after being a patient since 2009.

Dr. Ray is one of the best psychiatric doctors I have ever been to. She and her staff are both very professional and caring, and she is not one of these doctors who shove pill after pill upon you to try and mask what is wrong. Very glad I found her.
