Of all specialists, an Anesthesiologist should inspire confidence in his patients. Not so this buffoon. I had surgery thi summer that required local anesthesia for both hands, and supposedly a light level of tranquilizer (info was from my surgeon). When Buchbinder came into pre-op, he was rude and on a prior condition. When I statred to give him more info he said "If you don't give me shorter answers we'll be here all day.") I was taken abake but summoned the guts to ask what my anesthesia was going to be like. His reply was: "Don't worry about it. I'm a good bartender." No smile. No laugh. I should have gotten up and left rather than risk this wiseguy putting chemicals into me. What a jerk. Choose someone you can trust, for ANY kind of sedation.
