Scheduled quarterly appointments. A new opthalmology practice checked me out and said come back next year. No problems. His office is always crowded with seniors. Very sad, taking advantage of vulnerable older people.

He was the worst doctor I have ever been to. He lines people up, mostly older people and runs them through as fast as he can. He tried getting me out of his office saying if you have any questions, just call. I said I have questions now. He was really not to interested in answering anything as it I think it messed up his run them in run them out mentality. I would NEVER ever refer my worst enemy to him!!!

I am sad to see negative comments about Dr. Utlaut. I have had excellent care at his hands, excellent explinations about my problem and treatment, and excellent referral to a surgeon who also had eye-watering qualifications. Dr. Utlaut is not Marcus Welby (who was an actor!) I would recommend Dr. Utlaut to anyone. (I always wear my big-boy pants when I go to the Doctors office.)

My mother has been seeing Dr. Utlaut for over a year now. I have never been as impressed with any doctor before. Dr. Utlaut is kind, compassionate, effecient, and an incredibly capable doctor! I took my 102 year old aunt in to see him and instead of telling her that her eyes were just too old (like all the other doctors had) he treated her and changed her life.

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. I walked out halfway through my first appointment. Impersonal, gathered little info, took an hour for the first 5 mins of appt, hand-picked who was next in waiting room with no regard to appt times, door to exam room right by waiting room and door open at all times, had 8-10 people being pushed through rapid fire at all times perhaps for financial benefits. Just appauling. Would not recommend to anyone. Sad thing was that there was not one out of the maybe 25 people I saw go through that were under the age of 75. I think they are being taken advantage of!

Dr. Utlaut is the most caring doctor I have ever experienced. In the old days he would have been the home visiting doctor. He was amazing with the seniors that I saw lining his office waiting room. Positive and always had a kind word to say. I haven't heard anything different from anyone who has been in contact with him as a patient or a care giver.
