Dr. Kris Cunniff is an amazing physician. From my own experience, she has always been extremely friendly, down-to-earth, and is very knowledgeable. She is caring and really took the time to talk with me about what had been bothering me. She really understands that true overall health is a lifestyle becuase there really is no such thing as a ‘quick fix,’ and I feel like that goes for any medical condition. There is always more to treatment than just prescription medications. If anything, she took a few extra moments to get to me because she was listening to everything that another patient had to say, and does not just rush through her appointments. To me, she is the perfect balance between professional and casual becuase she really knows her stuff, and she has never once made me feel stupid or uncomfortable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new general practitioner.

Although she could spend a little more time with me during my visits, she is certainly very knowledgeable and friendly as are her staff. I’ve had no bad experiences here as shown in reviews below. I have recommended Dr. Cunniff to several friends and family members.

Misdiagnosed a very serious condition. Had results for a month and waited until my scheduled office visit to discuss. Took personal phone call on her cell phone while attending to me during my office visit. Said “sorry, it’s concerning my vacation home and we are playing telephone tag”. Refused to prescribe simple topical antibiotic unless I came in for office visit but I had already been I twice before for same ailment. Rude manners. Ill prepared and poor judgement. Totally missed very serious diagnosis. Never followed up for YEARS. meanwhile I’m seeing her for other issues. Terrible terrible Dr. BEWARE

Love her. She takes time with you. She asks questions and she BELIEVES you when you think something might be off.

I went to Dr Cuniff for severe migraines and back pain. I had been taking Motrin and icing/heating as instructed for several weeks to no avail. She immediately came in the room and said "i don't just give out pain medicine" very rudely. She made me feel as if I was just a drug-seeking pain-faker. I ended up going to the hospital where I found out I had a pinched nerve and needed medications to control muscle spasms and pain forever. NEVER going back there!!!!

I had the same experience as the person in the previous review. Dr. Cunniff would not prescribe anything to relieve severe back pain. She suggessted taking Motrin (as though i had not already tried that) and stated she "would not precribe me narcotics", making me feel as if i was a patient faking pain in order to get drugs (even though I had been in ER 3 times in one week for the pain) She said if it was that bad to go back to the ER. She refused to have the courtesy to tell me this herself and instead had her staff call me as I heard her relaying the message right next to her in the background. I found her very unprofessional. Not recommended as a PCP.

The feeling you get when dealing with this "professional" is that you are a bother. Neither Dr. Cunniff nor her attending nurse seem to have any compassion for your pain or a desire to relieve your suffering. When you request assistance through the answering service, you'll wait hours for a call back and once, I didn't receive a call back at all. I had to keep calling them. I had two major health issues in the past year. One was a severe migraine the other severe Sciatica after a back injury. Both times I was refused narcotic medication to relieve the intense pain I was feeling. I was advised by Cunniff’s nurse to go back to the emergency room for further care, without the suggestion of going in to see Cunniff. Dr. Cunniff wouldn’t even talk with me over the phone. When I returned to the ER, the staff were surprised Cunniff refused to prescribe a narcotic for my pain. What happened to honoring the Hippocratic Oath? We have many good doctors in South County, research for one of them.
