My husband and I tried for over a year to our second child. We were desperate, scared, and disheartened. Dr. Wood came highly recommended from a friend and we decided to meet her. From the first appointment, Dr. Wood was extremely informative and helpful. She gave us a detailed roadmap and we felt comfortable that we were in good hands. All the visits were quick and easy. After only three months of treatment, I am now pregnant with twins! We are absolutely thrilled and are certain that Dr. Wood's expertise is the reason we will finally be expanding our family. We cannot thank her enough and all the nurses and staff at IVFMD Cooper City!

Please make sure to do all your research before going to any doctor.
Dr. Woods office is a large fertility clinic that felt like you are forgotten or just a number. They made allot of mistakes and didn’t listen to issues brought to her attention.
It’s very expensive and I felt the entire time that money was important. Many times I mentioned my history with pelvic problems and anemia. None of this was addressed or a plan of action discussed. I was pushed into a fresh IVF round.
Each visit was a different nurse.
Doctor had very little emotion and rambled on about other cases or statistics.
She was cold during the retrieval of my eggs.
After the IVF failed, not once did any nurse or doctor contacted to see how I was doing.

Dr Wood is top notch. This is definitely a very hard field to be in but she definitely doesn't disappoint. She's compassionate, informative, listens and works with the patient vs making the patient feel like it's a one way street where you just follow the traffic. It's a busy office with a lot of staff. Although many people claim their staff is rude and not helpful, I found that to be quite the opposite. I simply think people need to realize everyone's position and work together vs always expecting things from people. They're a lot of patients needing care at the same time and they do a fabulous job of remaining calm, organized and focused.. I believe the most frustrating part is the phone system due to the fact that all offices are tied into the same phone system. That complicates things and sends calls to a series of mailboxes but that's easily fixed.. Once you start dealing with the people in the office you're going to, you ask for their extensions and that ends the problems.. Infertility is not easy people. The trick here is working together with those there trying to help. Not look for excuses or people to blame when things are not going your way. We are all there for a reason. The goal is to be nice, listen to your doctor, ask many questions and be kind.. Kindness gets you a lot further than being rude. Dr Wood is hands down one of the best in her field and we (locals) are very lucky to have her working here.... Best of luck to anyone needing help.. If you choose her, you're definitely in great hands.

I am very pleased with Dr. Wood, she didn't give up on me . I went with my husband to see her since I had a previous failed cycle at another clinic and they just pushed for another cycle without any change. The success rate at my age 38 were not great but along supplements and other recommendations Dr Wood suggested I was able to conceive and delivered a beautiful baby girl. Many thanks to Dr. Wood.
The offices are clean , staff is great , waiting time depends , sometimes is very crowded even with an appointment .

I was told my insurance covered all of my bills..5 months later I get a bill for $8,000 because they didn't properly check my insurance. I am disgusted by the lack of training the staff has. Ellen wood herself only made a guest appearance twice out of the 10000000 visits I've had. I will get my attorney involved. I don't understand why they would send my blood work to an out of network lab when clearly I went to them because they were in my network.

My husband and I went to Dr Wood because we were having trouble getting pregnant. Dr Wood diagnosed the problem right away at our very first appointment in April of 2011. We signed up for IVF and by mid June 2011 I was pregnant. We had our first child in February of 2012 and couldn't be happier. We will be scheduling an appointment with Dr Wood when we are ready for our 2nd. She is extremely caring and her staff is fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone having problems conceiving.

Dr. Ellen Wood is such a big part of my life. She helped my husband and I concieve our first child and for that I am forever grateful! She is an amazing person and doctor! She was honest, hopeful and very informative. Nine years later, she helped my sister concieve her 3rd child via IFV. Getting pregnant is such a stressful period that Dr. Ellen Wood was amazing throughout the whole process! If ever I had to face the same difficult situation, I would recommend her 5x over! She is the best!!

I had my first visit, today, with Dr. Wood in her Pembroke Pines office. The waiting area was clean and so was the rest of the office. Staff was extremely helpful and very nice. The med assistant took my vitals and I was told to wait for Dr. Wood to arrive. She was running a few minutes behind schedule due to a surgery she had in Miami, but she apologized for her tardiness once she arrived. The initial consultation she had with my husband and I went very well. She's quite knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about her field of study. She explained the preliminary testing that we would start out with, and then explained that we would continue on with a plan of action once all labs were back. She then examined my uterus and ovaries via ultrasound and showed me that they were normal. Overall, my first impression of this visit and her staff was an excellent one. My copay was $35 and my husband and I were on our way with instructions for our next appt. Hopefully, everything else goes well.
