Dr. Irby has been my doctor for years and I have nothing but great things to say about her. She is very knowledgeable, personable, and is caring. I would highly recommend her.

Do not see Dr. Irby. She is very unethical, unprofessional, and rude. My son was REFERRED to Dr. Irby after a hospital stay from another neurologist. We made our appointment, then received a call that he could be seen sooner, we accepted the new date. We went to Dr Irby's office, they took him back did vitals and said the doctor will see us shortly. A receptionist, not even a nurse, was sent into the room stating Dr Irby will not see us. Then the person who scheduled the appointment called us while we were in the office telling us Dr Irby will not see us and to wait for our neuroimmunology appointment a month away, Dr Irby didn't feel comfortable treating him as she did not know his case. My son was having active neurological symptoms and needed a refill of medication that the hospital prescribed. We explained neuroimmunology was just to rule out MS. She still refused by phone through another person while we were in her office! My son was seen in Jefferson Hospital, she is a Jefferson Doctor, she has access to all his imaging, bloodwork, and spinal tap. He is a new patient. How do you feel uncomfortable with a new patient's case especially that you have access to all his files??!! I would not be so upset if Dr. Irby had the professionalism to come tell us herself that she reviewed his file and did not want to take him on as a patient. We all sat in her office for two hours with me in a wheelchair, as I currently have issues, and my very sick son, only to be refused to be seen. Not to mention the stress of travel, lights, noises, ect causes a neurological patient to have. I complained to Jefferson and they were embarrassed by her behavior and now are assisting us to get an appointment with another neurologist.

The worse experience we have ever had with any doctor or for that matter from anybody who is in the medical field! She started out complaining that we should not have switched from another Dr within her group to her . Although the other Dr had a four month wait and we could not wait for my fiancées disease had progressed dramatically in such a short period of time and we were worried and by all rights SCARED and needed to know why and what could we do to put it back in check. What we received from Dr Irby was a cold person who was irritated. All she did was go over the same information that the staff member went over before she entered the office and did a two min exam and went back to her computer and mumbled something and told us to go to the front desk and RUSHED out !!!!! She ran out so fast we couldn't even stop her so we could tell her why we were there and what questions we needed her help with and ask her what we needed to do. We left SHAKING and now have to wait for a real Doctor to help with our concerns and answers to the questions and advise that we should have received from her !!!! We always believed in Jefferson Health Care and now we are second guessing that belief!!!! DO NOT GO TO DR DAHLIA J.IRBY .... you will be sorry that you wasted your time !!!!!

I stopped even speaking to Dr Irby at appointments, because she didn’t listen or take anything I said seriously. When I told her about a difficult matter and teared up she laughed at me and made fun of me. She’d ask the rote questions and if I deviated with new information , she ignored it. I had flashing of light in my right field of vision every few seconds constantly, yet she ignored this completely. It was only after I saw her that a friend suggested I go to an optimologist who discovered posterior vitriol detachment. I merely continue to see her once a year to get medication, and say I’m fine regardless of whether I am or not.

The staff does not care how long you wait. They tell you to arrive 15minutes prior to your appointment or it will be cancelled. I waited in the office for 90 minutes and then the appointment room for another 20. No one updated me. After Dr. Irby came in, I had to text my husband to tell him what the hold up was since he was outside with our 16month old waiting (I don't drive). She treated me like I was beneath her and tried To reprimand me for using my phone for 30 seconds after I waited patiently. Her treatment felt subpar and rushed. She wouldn't send me for new testing even though my old testing was out of date. She barely acknowledged my concerns. I have a follow up in October but I think I'm going to search elsewhere for a new Dr.

Doctor Irby is great, no complaint with her. However trying to reach the office is not possible, you have to go through a centralize call center and they are not empathetic or helpful. Too you cannot reach you doctor without jumping through several hoops. Very disappointed.

An awful experience bringing my husband here after a TBI . The brain and stroke rehab center scheduled this appointment with Dr. Irby as a follow up appointment . Dr Irby told me she does not care for patients with TBI, I should see another dr. she told me I should be my own Advocate , she was very impatient with my husbands evaluation this visit was not only unhelpful but very upsetting .

Dr. Irby is the only doctor I see who is as knowledgeable as she is. I just went to her office yesterday after 2 years of not seeing her. She remembered so much about me even how old my daughter was. I feel as if she treats all her patients as important people and knows what she is doing. I wish her the best in everything!
