Dr. David F. Hoeft cared for my mother when she was in hospital this Spring with c. diff. He was strong on informing us concerning her status, the nature of her illness, treatment modalities. He afforded us the time and opportunity to ask many questions. He fielded and rejected an inappropriate request from a person of questionable character who asked without authorization, and against stated patient desires and other family members' wishes, for issuance of a DNR order. He has high order communication skills, a mastery of his profession, and demonstrated genuine care for the one patient we saw him attend to - our mother.
