Great doctor who takes time to listen and provides common sense diagnosis. He was able to diagnose my gall bladder problem when two other doctors didn't. I have been seeing him for several years now about various medical issues and have always been encouraged with his help and medical direction.

He can't always be on time as emergency do come in but he is always looking out for his patients. He has been my primary doctor for at least ten years . I don't want to go to another doctor even if I live in Maple Grove and he is in Allina clinic RAMSEY.

Dr. Carls was incredibly helpful in the treating of my various medical issues. Also, go to Dr. Carls for my yearly physicals; he's been nothing but helpful. I highly recommend him.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Eric Carls. He seemed not very knowledgeable, even though he was supposed to be a specialist with backs. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until he did irreparable damage to my lower back. He was very rude and arrogant, to top it off.

Dr. Carls just goes through the motions. He even went so far as to deny his opinion to my disability insurance because he didn't want to get involved - even though that is his job. His advice was to find another doctor who was willing to deal with disability insurance. I wish he would have told me that at the first appointment he gave me. Furthermore, his knowledge of the spine is sketchy at best. There were at least 3 things he told me that a neurosurgeon later told me were grossly incorrect. The only good thing is that his staff was tremendous.
