I had the misfortune of having Dr Joyce 24 years ago and the horrible experience has stuck with me since! She was cruel, mean, and rude. She snickered at me- I wont go into details here. Always made me wait 45-1 hour for her and then she’d saunter in, no pleasantries. First time I was supposed to listen to my babies heartbeat she “couldn’t find it nor hear it” said so and left. Cruel, evil women who should not practice medicine. I tried to arrange to see the other drs in the practice but time for delivery, who shows up but her. I knew I was in trouble. Sure enough- I felt I was on my own. No info from her at all. She provide me with no information - but I did over heR her telling the nurse in the hall to call another dr back because this one needs a c-section and dr so & so won’t be happy- he was leaving for thanksgiving. I was shocked and amazed to see she was still seeing patients and that she hasn’t changed.

Had a terrible experience with Dr. Joyce. No bedside manner, no communication, would not listen to me (the patient!!!), therefore, turning the birth of my daughter into an emergency situation. Horrible experience and I would not recommend to anyone. Even the nurses in the maternity ward looked horrified at how she handled the whole situation and she barely spoke to me through out the whole experience. I only ended up with her since she was the Dr. on call. I am pregnant with my second child and am even considering leaving the practice (however I love the Dr. I normally see) - to avoid the chance of having Dr. Joyce be in the delivery room. Definitely made my firs birth experience unforgettable... but not in a good way. Didn't even congratulate us, or say anything about our baby after all of the trauma was over with. Seemed like we were an inconvenience to her. Why would you become an OB if you are so miserable doing your job!

Kind of grumpy, didn't introduce herself & during my whole 7 minute appointment I tried to ask questions but she wanted none of that - like I was putting her out - rushing me out the door - no "good luck with the rest of your pregnancy" like the other docs say - didn't even say goodbye. Dealt with her before when I had a miscarriage - found out at the hospital & she made me wait 45 mins in her office before she'd see me & was wicked grumpy then too. Not cool. CHEER UP.
