I have several serious medical conditions, and I have seen quite a few doctors. Dr. Mattson is among the best, if not the best, that I have ever visited. She is compassionate, intelligent and honest. She treated one of my health problems quite easily with a common medication (nexium) that my previous dr. should have tried. She has also helped me find good specialists and get treatment for diabetes and parkinson's disease, among other problems. My dr. at another hospital in Temple told me that nothing was wrong with me, and that I just wanted drugs. When I complained, she lied. I got copies of all of my medical records, and I have seen how several dr.'s have actually changed my diagnosis from visit to visit. Once it was because he was mad at me. I had really just about given up on doctors completely, and went about a year without help because I was so discouraged. Dr. Mattson listens and doesn't just start writing prescriptions. I hold her in the highest esteem.
