I received a text ASKING for my review with Dr. Schnell and his staff, which happened about 3 weeks ago. Dr. Schnell and I go a long ways back, and he and his nurse Jennie, were the ones that helped bring me to where I am today, which I am very thankful for. I thought about writing the review, but had NO clue who would be reading it, and thought his "personal assistant" might see it, and destroy it, and that is why I am writing here. Every thing was going fine when I walked into the office, and his personal nurse took care of me first. She then said Dr. Schnell would be right with me. After he seen me, he said his personal nurse would be back to talk to me about talking about my colonoscopy. I WAITED about 20 minutes and she did not show, so I opened the door and ASK for her, and she had "forgotten" to take care of me!

If you want test results do not go to him. I had to call multiple times weeks after tests and still didn't get an explanation of results. His staff is rude and acts as if you are inconviencing them. Been told the incorrect appt time multiple times. He refuses to listen when you say you think you need more tests. Has an upper amd lower GI done and he didn't explain the results to me. I had to hunt down an RN to tell me. Currently searching for a better Doctor. Hundreds of dollars and I still don't have a diagnosis.

Dr Schnell was unable to diagnose my problem. He finally ordered a biopsy of my liver - kept guessing it was NASH or NALD and suggested that I change my diet. When it came back with Stage 4 liver disease he did not reach out to me. I called several times over a few weeks before a nurse suggested that I see a transplant specialist at St Lukes or KU. It has been identified as autoimmune. I just don’t feel like he knew what it do so he did nothing - not even a phone call to discuss my biopsy.

Dr. Schnell listens well. I feel like he really cares about his patients.
