Went to my appt with Dr. Lucarelli today and he had the afternoon off yet I had an appt! I needed refills and they refused to contact him or ask another dr. to write them for me. Wanted me to come back the next day...sure! Once before I was kept waiting 4 hours and never seen. Then they did not want to credit my account for the co-pay. Also when I had a detached retina over a weekend I called and was told to go to the ER. I called the ER and they said there was nothing they could do and that my doctor should find a retinal doctor to see me. At my first visit he wanted me to see a neuro, gyn and have an ultrasound even though I explained that my insurance would not pay for those appts and he was pissy when I did not make the appts.

The staff seems totally inept at during their jobs especially the receptionist. I asked for my medical records and she refused to speak to me so I had to call the police involved to get my records. A horrible office.

Staff was very helpful and polite. I never waited a long time in Dr. Lucarelli's office. For MY treatment and diagnosis, I did not feel that Dr. Lucarelli was helpful at all. He may be knowledgable in his field, but I do not feel as though he helped me in my time of need and pain. It is going on 5 weeks since my injury and I am still having pain issues. If a community person, friend or relative asked about going to this particular Dr. there is only one reply I could give...please don't. There is a lot more I could say but I am choosing to be brief.

Went to him with 2nd and 3rd degree burns and he sent me home with pain meds and told me to call Monday when my legs burst. I went to a urgent care facility managed by a hospital he was not associated with saw an emergency physician and spent a week in the hospital where they decided not to debride my legs.

Smart, straight forward and down to earth. Wait time can be challenging but good doctors are worth it; especially those with twenty years of experience. You always know where you stand with Dr. Luke. One of Spartanburgs best. Great nurses also!

After waiting a good hour I finally had the opportunity to see the doctor only for him to interrupt me while i tried to explain my feelings of anxiety and nerves. The next 45 min he used to talk and explain things I either already knew or did not pertain to me at all.
