I give him the best rating possible. He's a wonderful doctor (funny too). He knows what he is talking about and he truly cares for his patients. I am currently seeing him for my scoliosis and I must say I believe he is the best. To the person who rated him poor because he wasted his/ her time, I doubt you have a doctorate. He knows what he is talking about, you, most likely, don't.

Saw Dr. King when I was 16 to document the curvature of my spine. Years later, when trying to determine if my curvature has gotten worse, he simply said he must've drew the lines wrong on the x-ray before asking if my spine interferred with my breathing. Once I said no, he automatically decided that he wouldn't do surgery on my back. My scoliosis still is pretty bad, and was in need of a brace or surgery. What he should have done was explain to me why he thought he screwed up OR contact my parents and explain why their insurance had a doctor's charge on there for time wasted. I remember spending 4+ hours at Women's Hospital in waiting rooms (twice), only to see the actual doctor for maybe 15 minutes total at the end of the day. My back still hurt. I should have seen another doctor instead. He completely wasted my time, money, and possibly has made my scoliosis worse by failing to perform his job. Don't let your children go to him without being by their side in the room.

I saw Dr. King from when I was 10 to when I was about 14 for scoliosis. He is an amazing doctor. He's extremely knowledgeable yet down-to-earth. He truly cares about his patients and their families. I ended up needing surgery to correct my scoliosis. I can honestly say that I would not have trusted any other doctor to perform my surgery. Aside from his practice, he is a professor at LSU's medical school & he also conducts research on scoliosis & other areas in orthopedics. I could not have asked for a better doctor. I HIGHLY recommend him. If you see him, you are truly receiving premium care.
