I was not impressed with his bedside manners. I had to go back so many times to rework my orthotics that the office visits equaled the price of the orthotics . If you have a difficult dx, find someone else. I felt I was with a burned out doctor.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Flannigan. He was knowledgeable about my problem and provided a thorough exam and a range of options. I was very pleased with the results of my surgery and would highly recommend Dr. Flanigan as a physician and surgeon.
Also, everyone who works at the facility were great

Dr. Flannigan is one of THE best doctors I have ever had. Caring, compassionate, intelligent and put me at ease. I’ve had 2 procedures with him and he’s been my doctors for years. The office staff is equally amazing!

Dr. Flanigan recently performed surgery on my foot to correct a severe bunion that also required fusion of several bones. For three years prior, I walked with a painful limp and had been unsuccessfully treated by several physicians. Dr. Flanigan's expert surgical ability and professionalism created a miracle for me. Dr. Flanigan was not welcoming and I got the impression that I was wasting his time. Maybe he was having a bad day but I am going to another practice for a second opinion.

Words are not enough to express how thankful I am to Dr. Flanigan.I had my foot operated and I cant believe how everything went so perfect compared to my last experienced with the other surgeon in Kennebunk.I am writing this review to help other people to get the right help they need.I
really had a horrible experienced with my first surgeon I have the same problem with both my
feet.The first surgeon didnt try any other ways to
solve my problem unlike Dr.Flanigan he did his
assesment and tried different things before he
offered the surgery.I was miserable for a yr after
that dr did the surgery I was in a lot of pain that
made me decide for awhile to not get any help
with my other foot.After reading the reviews and
recommendation I thank God he led me to
Dr.Flanigan.Im on my 7th week since my surgery
and I never have had any pain I didnt even take
any pain killers.I wish I can show the difference of
my foot that Dr.Flanigan did compare to the other
foot that was done with this other surgeon that I
dont know how he got his license.I hope people
will do more research before going to Dr.'s coz not all doctors out there knows what theyre doing.I highly recommend Dr.Flanigan he is the best Foot Dr.very nice knowledgeable and he takes his time and listen.I wish all doctors are like Dr Flanigan he makes the world a better place.All the staff at portland foot and ankle are wonderful keep up the good work guys God bless this team.Thank you so much -Grace Bishop

Two years ago I started going to Dr. Flanigan's office. He came highly recommended by a family member. I was having issues with foot pain. In order to see him I travel 45 minutes each way. It has been worth my time. My foot issue was taken care of in a timely manner. He is very good at giving cortisone shots. Other doctors have given me some and they were painful. When he does it, it doesn't hurt!

Over the past several years Dr. Flanigan has cared for my feet and ankles. Since I was 13 I have had numerous problems with my right ankle due to a fracture. In addition, Dr. Flanigan has cared for plantar fasciitis, benign cyst removal, and continued foot and ankle care. I have seen other doctors and some have performed surgeries, but Dr. Flanigan is different. He is the doctor you hope to get, the one that talks with you and not at you. He listens to what is going on with the patient and the impact on his/her daily life. He carefully assesses all factors, and then presents the patient with options. One of the things I like the most about Dr. Flanigan is that he will explain to me what is going on with my foot. He not only tells me, but actually shows me on x-rays and imaging reports. It is kind of like watching a master at work. He will first take in the patient’s feedback, assess any imagining results, present his findings and assessment, then discuss next steps with patients. I have seen doctors that will not discuss any results or what they mean. Dr. Flanigan is very knowledgeable and is very professional. Dr. Flanigan has a very calming and peaceful approach. He has always been extremely respectful, allowing me to take time to make tough decisions, and giving me open and honest feedback. It has always seemed more of a team effort instead of being told what is going to happen.

Not only am I pleased with Dr. Flanigan, I am also impressed with the office staff. The staff in the office is friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I rarely wait a long period of time for an appointment. I have seen other doctors in the office as well, for follow up visits and they have been just as wonderful to me. Dr. Flannigan Honestly, I completely trust Dr. Flannigan and the care he continues to provide me and would highly recommend him!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Flanigan's for approximately 8 years. He has performed three surgeries on my feet (none of which are related). I love how he attempts to treat my horrible feet in a conservative manner before recommending surgery. He has always been extremely professional, competent, highly knowledgeable, and friendly whenever I have visited him for appointments. I travel approximately 250 miles one way to see him. He, as well as his staff, are well worth the trip! I thank you, Dr. Flanigan...and so do my feet!!!
